Great replacement pole for my big heavy-duty skimmer bag! It replaces a pole that never adjusted right and always slipped after adjusted! I put this together easily and loved two adjustment knows for adjusting the telescoping to 15 feet part -- the poles are solid (the whole for water coming out is not an issue for me) + the two knobs are heavy duty and I tighten and used my pole for 12 ft and 14 ft and 15 ft + the adjustment held -- we'll see in 1 yr -- this is nicely made with nice heavy duty adjuster knobs I love it!!

Overall, this pool pole rod is pretty solid—it feels sturdy, reaches a good length, and works well for skimming and vacuuming. However, the main issue is that it tends to get stuck when fully extended. Adjusting the length can be frustrating, especially when you're in the middle of cleaning. If the locking mechanism were smoother or more reliable, it would be an excellent product. Still usable and better than some cheaper options, but could use a design tweak.

It may be too early to tell but after three weeks of pool opening, I think its past the test. I love the ability to simple sections very easily to give a shorter pole. It still telescoping but when you really need reach, just attach the extra poles (comes with two separate extensions) or if you want an extremely short pole for side scrubbing, the three telescopic sections shrink down to under 5 feet. The pole drains better than any other high dollar pole that I've had so it is much lighter and easier to bring up and down. The 'turn-and-lock' seems to hold well - no slipping and it can hold some weight. Seems strong while light weight. And as a bonus, the separate poles can be used as individual poles or combined together for a medium reach pole that work with most pool tools. Good for skim netting. Your getting a second pole. So don't just take my opinion, just buy one and get busy.

Sturdy and well made. I needed a strong pole for my net to get the leaves out of the pool. This pole works great.
