The Real Deal... Worth the Cost
Okay, this is a very expensive olive oil. It has a peppery taste due to the very high phenolics in it. That is what you are paying for. I take a teaspoon in the morning and one at night. Using it that way, I expect the bottle to last 3-4 months. This is NOT an olive oil for cooking, or even for a salad. You do not want to waste a precious drop of this oil. I read lots of reviews before choosing Laconiko ZOI. It is very expensive, but if your check out the negative reviews on all the other so-called high phenolic olive oils on Amazon, you will see why this one is the best. You've probably seen health ads about the benefits of Moroccan EVOO, but it's not so much where the olives are grown as it is the quality of production. The Moroccan brands offered on Amazon have several negative reviews regarding receiving old oil that turned rancid within months. Olive Oil CANNOT be returned to Amazon. Bear that in mind before selecting a slightly cheaper brand, which isn't cheaper at all if you get old stock that will soon be rancid.

This oil is like a medicine - not meant for cooking/nor salads
This oil has the highest polyphenol content I could find. It has a very strong burn in your throat effect as it should !!! Whenever you have extremely high polyphenol content (which is what makes this so expensive and good for you) it will slightly burn in your throat. That is how you know you bought the right thing. This isn’t for cooking or adding to other foods - you take a table spoon or two of it a day before food for its health benefits. This type of olive oil is rare and not sold at any supermarket in the US (to my knowledge) and high polyphenol oils are made from very young green olives hence the completely different flavor experience. I believe this olive oil truly helped put me in remission from lupus.
