Phone is always in my pocket with keys etc so bought this to protect it.Done the job and ladted a long time.

OK so, to be brutally frank, this is never going to win a phone case beauty contest! There are lots of more attractive cases out there but this is a budget price piece of kit and it kind of feels it too. Only the front is the PU Leather. The back is a hard plastic. That said, it is pretty much exactly what I wanted! To explain further - I have very specific needs for my phone case. I wanted a flip phone that didn't have that annoying strap closure tab in the way, so was looking for a flush fit magnetic clasp. I didn't want the extra bulk of credit card slots as I just don't use my phone like that. I carry it in my bag and for that reason I simply wanted something that protected the screen. Most importantly I needed it to be WHITE so it would be visible in my bag! This case gives me all these features. I really appreciate the slimline look and feel. If you're into minimalism this is for you! I also like the fact that it fits my Samsung S8 very well but you have full access to the actual side buttons, rather than pressing through bumper holders. The phone feels secure and I don't feel it will come loose if I drop it. I already have a heavy duty, self-healing, clear gel screen protector on the phone (from when I had a bumper holder) and was worried this case might not fit with that on but this wasn't so. As I chose white, it might start to look scruffy fairly soon but I'm not bothered about that as it ticks all the other boxes for me. It will do fine until, and if I find anything better.

It's alright. Does what I want it to do. It has a design flaw where the home button can be pressed too easily from outside the cover when it is closed. This leads to it being pressed accidentally while not in use, turning on my phone's screen to the lock screen. That causes the phone to heat up, and make my pocket warm in relation to my body, making that patch of my leg uncomfortable.I solved the issue by manually cutting away the felt lining with a utility knife (box cutter, craft knife, etc would work too), so that there is a 'ditch' for the home button (which is very slightly higher than the screen) to dwell in without being pressed too easily. I was prepared to drill a hole and cut a hole through the cover plastic using a coping saw, but it turns out that wasn't needed. I only needed to trace a quadrilateral of the felt I wanted removed, and then scrape it out with my fingernails.I agree with the other reviewer saying that the metal clasp's edges are sharp (though not painful to me), it doesn't sit flush with the side of the cover.

Likes: good magnetic seal will help protect the phone. Better than the official Samsung case here which has no seal and flips open when dropped (as I found out to my cost - hence this purchase!).Decent looking. Fits the phone very well.Camera etc recessed hence well protected.Dislikes: The power button is also recessed so is protected from drops. The problem is that it makes it awkward to get to comfortably and quickly. The rather sharp ridge of plastic doesn't help either.No stand facility - but it wasn't advertised as having one so, for the price, fair enough.Despite the power button issue I like this case. For the money it beats the official case that's for certain as it's just as light and, while not displaying the time on the surface, offers superior protection which is the main priority for me.

..this is an excellent phone case for my Samsung Edge. Light weight & slimline yet way more durable than I expected. It clicks on nicely to the body of the phone and I haven't once worried that it might become unattached, despite dangling the phone by the cover to take photos (not recommended, but just shows how grippy it is.) I've dropped my phone several times (also not recommended, this didn't happen while taking photos) but fortunately having had the front cover closed, no damage occured - although I can't say that would always be the case. The cover clicks shut magnetically in a satisfying way, with no loss of magnety-type strength since fitting the cover 9 months ago. The cut-outs around the cover are perfectly placed to access charging port, function buttons etc. The outside of the cover is textured for better grip and the inside of the cover is soft, to protect the screen. It is also easy to write on, which I have done, with details of who to contact if my phone is lost (dreadful thought, we all know that stomach-churning feeling of 'where's my phone?') Anyhow, great product so far, which has been robustly put to the test. My son also has one, which he reckons is 'bare good'. I can only agree.

Initial thoughts were it appears somewhat flimsy, and would not last very long. But once the phone is held within the case it seems to work just fine. So after having the case for more than a month, I still don't have any real complaints about it.

The case looks very nice and fits the phone well, it offers very similar protection to the genuine cases but feels harder. The cover is held in place by a magnet, which the paint comes off quickly but does not affect the performance of the case. The down side is that I have been using mine for about 2 weeks and the seam on the cover flap is wearing out very quickly with the surface breaking down. It also does not work with the auto on screen function on the phone which I assume is activated by magnets in a genuine cover. I am not sure how long it will last which is why I cant give this case a high rating.

Nice case. Fits phone perfectly, allows easy access to all ports etc. The case doesn't affect the camera either. The case is simply just a case, no slots for cards or anything. The case has a magnetic close function. The back is strong and sturdy and the front has a soft inner to protect the screen as I don't think there are any tempered glass for curved screens for this model. Bought this for our sons phone to protect the screen whilst in bag/pocket at school and its worked fine. No scratches or anything. It's not bulky either. If your looking for a simple case to protect the screen then this is definitely suitable.
