Awesome router/modem combo
Anyone looking for a modem router combo then this is it. Only one hook up. This also has a satellite that it comes with that syncs up with the modem/router that basically allows you to place it anywhere in your home that you need a stronger connection. I'll give more examples/details on this because not many people mentions it so hopefully it helps. So basically you have the router/modem that you will place in your home depending on where the coaxial cable from the internet service provider is located in your home. Now this is what limits people that needs stronger connections such as for me, for gaming. I play my game upstairs and my modem/router is hooked up downstairs. Now since this comes with a satellite, the satellite can be placed anywhere there is an outlet that provides power. and then you can simply plug anything in the back of the satellite via ethernet cable to provide a more stable connection. So now this method works just as good as connecting to the actual modem/router. So I hope that made it clear for anyone who games but their gaming device is no where near the actual router /modem. the extra satellite that this comes with allows just that. Speeds on this are fantastic also the user friendly app that allows you to setup a connection and check on device ect.. is simple and easy.

Awful. Buyer beware.
Terrible. We had a prior Orbi router which failed suddenly after 18 months. Not wanting to scrap all of our satellites we ordered a refurbished replacement. This functioned properly part of the time but became erratic and eventually throttled our speeds to under 50mps (1gps plan). Our ISP service tech confirmed it is something in this router combo. Their cheap router worked just fine and service was restored. Yes, we did update firmware and all went through troubleshooting sequences. Occasionally better speeds would return but briefly. Read the forums on these. I will not buy another Orbi product. Which is unfortunate because I’ve had good luck for years with NETGEAR. Never again. We’re out $800+ in two years on inoperable products. I do hope others have better experiences than ours.

Performs excellent with Xfinity
I’ve had mixed experiences with NetGear products in the past and initially bought an Arris 8300 when I decided to stop renting from Comcast. After three months of intermittent reboots, I got a return approval and bought this. Took two tries before a successful self activation, but wow, the performance is over the top. I have 800 mb service. With the Comcast and arris modems, I averaged 400-600 down and 20 up. This guy usually gives me 600-700 plus down and over 100 up. I don’t have a big house, but having the satellite unit included gives me great WiFi signal upstairs, downstairs, and outside. Jury still out on how reliable it is, but like with the other router, I got the three year warranty from Assurian/amazon. That got the other replaced when Xfinity and arris kept blaming each other. Hate to say it, but Comcast was right about the Arris.

Doesn't Work With Fiber Optic Cable Systems
I can't really rate this as I returned it because it is NOT COMPATIBLE with fiber optic cable systems. The listing did not state that, and I was unaware that a fiber optic system uses only a special router and no modem. Even though the listing said it was compatible with Cox Cable, it was NOT compatible with OUR Cox cable system. It seemed like it would have been fairly easy to set up, had it been compatible (the directions said it was pretty much all automatic once you turned it on and got it connected to the cable). Live and learn...

Failed at 1 year.
A year to the day and this started failing. Disconnects from the internet every night during low traffic time-frames. I reboot it and it works great for about 24 hours and fails again. None of my neighbors are experiencing issues and we only have one service in our area. I tried changing channels and DNS. Tried a factory reset. No help.

Delayed return and refund
Returned item. Did not work as advertised. But returned immediately. But the return was a fiasco.
