Have now purchased two of these lights.Easy to install with a couple of screws and wall plugs included.Needs to be dark before you can activate the switch to select modes or even switch it on, it actually has 4 modes off being one of them.simple push button to cycle through the modes with different colour LED to advise what mode you have selected.I have them both on a south facing wall, one each end of the house, they both get good sun throughout the day so no problem with me for charging.I am using them on dim mode with full light output once movement is encountered.It's good that it has the option for fully off unless it senses movement as not everyone wants the lights on all the time.Haven't tried it on all the time so no idea how long it will really last before battery goes flat.they are installed about 2 metres high and they give a very good spread of light to the side of the house.The sensor when you walk up to it from the side has about 2 - 3 metres coverage, from the front its 4 - 5 metres.At this height they don't activate every time a cat walks under them.It has a short delay because it gently ramps up (about 1 second) to full brightness it's not like a standard PIR light fitting that instantly flicks to full output.Now the days are getting shorter (end of October) it tend to stay on dim mode for about 6 hours then goes off but it does still come on full output as soon as it detects movement. During the summer it would remain on dim mode throughout the night.It's easy to disassemble and change the battery if required, it comes with a standard Li-ion 2200mAh 18650 battery installed and i have changed one of them over for a 3000mAh.20 - 25 activation a night and it still runs full output so the original battery works fine for me but they are both getting full light input throughout the day, may be a different situation if they are not sited facing the sun.Finish is good so doesn't look cheap on the side of the house, side profile isn't large so it's not really noticeable until it illuminates.

I had a problem with the first light I was sent, but that was quickly resolved on return and refunded. Seller asked if I would "test" another of the same model foc, and I agreed. This updated review is of my "test" light, so not strictly a paid for item. The light looks sleek and modern, mounted on the wall.I have 3 LED outside lights now, to light the way around the otherwise dark paths to our house and this, apparently brighter light is more expensive than the other two of a different brand. This is genuinely a more powerful item and lights a considerably larger area.This light is very easy to mount (one hook on screw and two front-accessed retaining screws, as compared with 4 screws and a need to measure quite carefully before drilling). The light has three modes, including an "always on" option (dim light). I use the sensor mode, which turns quickly from off to very bright, on detecting motion in an 120 deg arc. Mode is changed by a single external button - an improvement on my other lights which need dismounting to change mode.I have no idea of the longevity of the product, but the Li-ion rechargeable battery is replaceable, which should help and my experience of Pacific Rim electronics is that if they work out of the box, then they are fine. My first did not - this item seems good.

I left it outside for 2 days on a shelf so there was no movement to enable it to fully charge, but it didn’t work, only worked when held upside down, and not for very long.Returned for refund.

Having had some bad experiences with previous solar lights (don't charge up enough to work well all the time) I was a bit sceptical about this but saw the other reviews and thought that I would give it a try. I am actually pleasantly surprised. Charged it in full sunshine for about a week before installing. Sited on a south west facing wall next to my front door. It gets a fair amount of light for most of the day. I have it set on the PIR to come on when you come to the door. Range of the PIR is quite good (it detects people walking along the lane which is about 4-5m from it. This is good for me as it lights up before anyone enters the garden and delivery drivers can see the house name when it is dark (no street lights). My concern is how well it will perform during the winter when the days are shorter (having less chance to recharge and used more). For the time being I give it 5 stars.

I bought outdoor Solar PIR lights from three different manufacturers and initially this was my favourite it has a soft illumination when activated getting brighter slowly and when turning off it dims before extinguishing which gives it a good feel.Unfortunately it seems to suffer terribly from the British weather as when it rains it either flickers intermittently or doesn't work at all, even when not raining I am almost at the light or even walked past before it illuminates which is of no use what so ever, I feel that the way the detector is mounted may be the problem and so cannot recommend at all.

Good quality and fast delivery, however, switching the 4 settings is hit and miss as it is repeat push button only working in the dark of course.

In a sunny day works really well and is very bright, not so good in dark winter days when is most needed but I still think it's a good product.

Placed on exterior wall above the back door. Has a good detection range (5m) and so lights on my entry to the garden from car space. It has an excellent quality of white light at good brightness. It was easy to fix and for 12 months has always charged well, never letting me down, summer or winter.

Je possède depuis maintenant plusieurs mois ce type de lampe pour mon garage perso.Mes parents sont venus et ont trouvé cette lampe géniale, car autonome. Pas besoin de faire venir un électricien, trois vis et hop, ça fonctionne.Cette lampe possède un bouton qui permet de choisir entre :- Mode détecteur avec variation de l'intensité de la lumière, c'est-à-dire éclairage faible permanent, et lors de détection de mouvement, l'éclairage s'intensifie (témoin petite lumière verte),- Mode détecteur pleine puissance (témoin petite lumière bleue)- Mode "toujours allumé" avec une puissance plus faible (témoin petite lumière rouge).L'éclairage est puissant et très bien diffus, pour ce genre de petit appareil, surtout grâce à ses 21 Leds.La qualité de fabrication est bien là, et possède un aspect sympathique, de part son aspect métallisé.En ce qui concerne le rechargement de cette lampe, il faut bien sûr que celle-ci soit arrosée de soleil, pour donner toute sa puissance la nuit venue.Je recommande ce type de lampe, pour les personnes ayant, comme dans mon cas, une cour ou un garage sans électricité... C'est simple, rapide et ça fonctionne bien. Je suis satisfaite.

Conforme aux attentes. A voir à l'usage étanchéité, durée de la batterie et capteur.Petite taille mais puissance lumineuse forte sur position voyant bleu.Facile à installer.

J'ai acheté 2 de ces luminaires en promo sur le site. Je ne regrette absolument pas l'achat. Après quelques jours de recharges à la lumière extérieure, ces lampes solaires ont bien démontré leur efficacité. Avec 3 modes de réglages possible, elles contenteront tout le monde. Finition tout à fait correct et design vraiment sympa. Très bon éclairage par LED. Très facile à installer et très discret une fois posée. Bref, si vous êtes à la recherche de lampe extérieure avec détecteur intégré, allez y, ce choix est bon.
