It's an A:\ drive!
Works fine. Plug into a USB port and it shows up as A:\ drive in your directory. Read my old 1.44 floppies with no problems. If you need one, buy it, it works!

Super easy to use
If, like me, you have a bunch of old 3.5 floppy disks laying around, but no computer any more that sports a drive, this is a huge remedy. It really doesn't get any easier that this to use. Plug it in to a USB port, insert a disk, retrieve the contents. It is a bit of a slow process compared to today's standards, but the ability to retrieve material you once though was gone for good, more than makes up for the copying delay. I have been able to retrieve pictures from the 80's and 90's that I have not seen since that time. If you have some of these laying around, I recommend this option as opposed to services that may charge way more and take a good deal of time. Not to mention the potential of your mail going missing.

Worked but not on Windows 10
Windows 10 didn’t want to see the disc but I have an older Windows 7 Machine that recognized it immediately. Still Windows 7 would not read the disc without it being formatted first. In my case the disc came from a synthesizer in which it was formatted. Technically it should have been the same file format but Windows didn’t like it. No problem I formatted with W7 and the synth was happy with that so I was able to back up all patches before updating the firmware. Overall this reader/writer was good value for money as it did what I needed it to do but it may not work for you if you are trying to get data off an old disc. Although I’m sure there is a way to get Windows 10/11 to recognize it, this may require some work (not for those who haven’t built a PC and are not inclined to tinker). Sometimes hanging on to an older machine helps;)
