A certification for ECO FRIENDLY and SUSTAINABLE organic cotton products that comply with environmental criteria (no use of toxic chemicals) & social criteria (no child labour, safe and hygienic working conditions, no excessive hours). Extra wide: 75 cms. (Standard rugs/mats are 70 cms wide)
- HAND WOVEN, HIGH QUALITY, DURABLE & EASY TRANSPORT: Handcrafted in India & not produced in factories. It takes up to 3 hours for a master weaver to hand loom a single yoga rug without the use of any electricity. You can easily roll it/fold it for transport and they are quite light compared to most rubber mats (1.2kgs).
- BEST RUG FOR ASHTANGA & HYGIENIC: These rugs are the best for the practice of ASHTANGA YOGA. Alternatively they can also be used for the practice of PILATES, HOT YOGA, POWER YOGA... Recommended use over a rubber mat. When going to class you won't worry about previous students leaving a dirty, sweaty mat.
- SUPERIOR GRIP WHEN SWEATING & COLD WASH: With cotton, the more you sweat the more you stick to the rug. Alternatively you can also sprinkle some water over the rug at the start of the class. Please cold wash only separately & avoid tumble dryer!
