Neurodivergent Friendly DBT Workbook: Coping Skills for Anger, Anxiety, Depression, Panic, Stress. Embrace Emotional Wellbeing to Thrive with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and Other Brain Differences [Relief, Instant] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Neurodivergent Friendly DBT Workbook: Coping Skills for Anger, Anxiety, Depression, Panic, Stress. Embrace Emotional Wellbeing to Thrive with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and Other Brain Differences Review: The Toolbox Everyone Should Have - This self-help book gets right to the point without a lot of anecdotes and long explanations. It's not meant to exhaustively describe the science and psychology of DBT or ADHD or emotional regulation in detail. If you have already done a lot of reading about DBT, ADHD, or other topics covered in the book, it serves as an amazing summary. If you're just getting started, I'd say it's a great launchpad. Either way, this workbook is a great set of tools -- some of which you'll become adept at in your own, others you may need someone to walk you through at first (perhaps with a good therapist who has been trained in DBT techniques). (By the way, if you are a therapist, I would highly recommend that you suggest this book to your clients.) The first 25% of the book contains succinct explanations with a lot of subheadings, bullet points and white space, a very ADHD friendly presentation. Another feature of the book that made it both affordable and respects the reader is that it's black and white. I see black and white as an advantage because a workbook is meant to be written in and marked up -- the black and white contents allow the reader to decide what text they want to highlight with their own colors. (Some "ADHD-friendly" books that are full of colors, and while I appreciate the attempt to utilize a method meant to stimulate dopamine production, for me, too much color is annoying and distracting, especially since I prefer to choose on my own what parts I want to highlight with my own colors.) 75% of the book contains brief descriptions of some of the most common emotions all people experience: anger, anxiety, depression, panic, and stress. Each of these emotions has its own chapter with helpful actions, described step by step, followed by room to write down your own plan. Neurodivergent Friendly DBT Workbook is one of the most practical workbooks I have ever come across on any subject. Thank you, Instant Relief! Review: this is the book i have been looking for - I just read "Neurodivergent DBT Workbook," and I have to say, itโs an incredibly thorough and well-executed book! It offers a lot of practical strategies for dealing with emotions like anger, anxiety, depression, panic, and stress. What I really appreciate is how the book targets those who are neurodivergent, providing them with the tools to better understand and communicate their challenges to those around them. The book is packed with content that not only informs but also inspires. The techniques it presents are easy to follow and can be implemented in everyday life. For me, it's been an eye-opener, and I believe many will find great value in it. Overall, I would definitely recommend "Neurodivergent DBT Workbook" to anyone looking to get a handle on their emotions and find effective coping strategies. Itโs a fantastic tool that Iโm sure will help many!

Great Resource for Therapists and Clients for Skills you can use Right Now for effective change.
It is difficult to find neurodivergent friendly DBT/CBT easy to use skills in the moment resources. Well this is a must have workbook in your individual or group practice. This workbook has six additional chapters on strategies and navigation of Anger, Depression, Intrusive Thoughts, Stress, Social Anxiety, Panic Attacks, and Anxiety. Several of the sections have been helpful when working with DBT clients that are seeking tools that can be used now to start making a difference. My hope is that this publisher will follow up with an integrative neurodivergent friendly skills workbook with Interpersonal Effectiveness/DBT/CBT and Polyvagal Theory. - Derrick G DBT Therapist

Neurodivergent Friendly DBT Workbook
Neurodivergent is typically people who are autistic, have ADD, ADHD, learning disabilities, etc. They typically process information much differently than neurotypical people. I got this book because my son and I both are Neurodivergent. The chapters on stress and anxiety has been such a big help. The panic attack chapter really helped my son.

Great Worksheets on Intrusive Thoughts
I didnโt find it particularly neurodivergent friendly but the intrusive thoughts section is great. I have a few clients that will benefit from the intrusive thoughts section which is why I ended up buying the book after listening to it from the library.

Written by AI
This book seems like it was written by AI. I am a therapist and bought it to use with a client who already bought it. The activities in the book are very basic and not really specific to neurodivergence. I am returning it.
