Slitzer Germany 22pc Professional Chef's Cutlery Set in Case

Good selection, sharp & durable!

First off, Slitzer produces Quality no matter where their manufacturing facilities reside at. Their quality control is the exact same used through out the world and is not like you are buying electronics of unknown materials. This set is an excellent bargain for what you are getting (21 greatly made pieces) at the same exact quality known from Slitzer. Mine were pretty sharp from the get go, but for those who find them a bit "dull" keep in mind that most new knives always tend to be slightly under sharpened from factory (unless you buying a Honyaki or the likes at their astronomical price). That is the reason they provide you with an 11 inch +/- 61 HRC knife sharpener to sharpen them up at the level of your desire. If that is not good enough, well, get yourself a Japanese wet stone that way you can split hairs with them, but slicing to paper was a good enough test for me...IMO.

This was a gift for someone. A cook. I was really impressed. Its crazy heavy. Like i couldnt even belive how heavy. The blades were well made and the knives were sharp. It was an impressive gift. I was skeptical because of the cost but it was well worth it.

Excellent product, and this is great for a beginning chef. I just think that the case was a bit much, and is a bit bulkier than it needs to be. I'd love to see this kind of knife collection in something like a messenger bag. But still an incredible product!

It was my boyfriends and my first anniversary. I didn't know what to get him, so I started thinking about what he likes. He's a chef and I thought what would be more perfect than a knife set. When he saw that knife set, his eyes lit up like a kid getting his first bike. He loved it so much and constantly thanks me. He said it was the perfect gift and its a beautiful set. I rated this product 5 stars because the case was nice, the knife set was nice, and he fell in love with it instantly. My advice would be to give this as a gift to someone who just loves to cook.

First off dont believe the negative feedback ,lve been cooking for 25 years I've used all kinds of knive s .these knives are full tang and razor sharp out the case! They dont weigh a ton they weigh alittle over 19 pounds after you carry them a week hardly noticeable.yes they say china but many companies have China do the work for them they have the German name and made by there standards doesn't matter where.you can chop down a full tree with the 5 lb meat clever no joke! I did famous paper test and sliced through that paper like a japanese sword .the case is worth the price by its self .as I walked to work I could see people staring at me and the case.maybe they thought i was a sniper.who know cause case looks like a rifle case.super cool! Must by for any chef not just starter my boss worked with bobby flay and even he was impressed when i came to work with these knives .for the price where robbing them the knives are well worth $400.00 some other sites sell them for $300.00 so stop compairing you wont find a better deal than this thank you Amazon best purchase yet!

Received this product in a damaged box. Once opened it was the case was the size of a suitcase. Opened up and most of the items were out of their place and everywhere. Many of the cheap velcro fasteners were ripped. All knives were over sized and of poor quality. Handles were of cheap plastic and marked with "made in China". Couldn't return it fast enough.

These knives are just awsome way more then what i expected for 112$ these knives are very well crafted handles are great. Me being a cheff would recommend these for any students and cheffs looking for a good set of knives. Ive bought a 300$ set of knives and these are way better in many ways and i got way more in this set then in my 300$ set. Dont listen to any bad reviews on these knives fast shipping awsome quality. The ones that complain must be use to there cheap walmart brand knives and not a real true knive set. Yes there assembled in china but great german steal all around.
