Maglite D Cell Assessory Kit, Multicolour

Broke one of my holders, had to buy the pack, but a good price.

I purchased this kit after a recommendation from a friend. I already owned a Maglite D cell, but wasn't aware that such a kit existed until I saw my friend's torch with the anti-roll device on it.The torch holders have proven to be really handy. I have it set up on a shelf in my bedroom, so whenever I need my torch I know exactly where it is. Once I've finished I simply click it back into place and needn't worry about losing it. However, the same can't be said about the filters which I have managed to lose.I used the red filter during some night-time exercises with cadets, but that was the last time I used it before it went missing. In terms of value for money I think almost £12 is quite expensive for a few bits of plastic and a piece of rubber, however, the practicality soon outweighs the cost. I've dropped one start for the cost.

i really bought this kit for the rubber gripper to fit round the head of the torch. Being round, it rolls all over the place which is a nuisance. This octagonal grip keeps it stationary, but really should have been included with the design of the torch. The clips are handy, but very stiff, but I can't think of a use for the coloured filters; why would I want a red or blue light?

Why the four stars then : The product fits well and the lenses fit the holder as does the Maglite touch fit into the mounting clips. The kit is a little pricey and I have not had to use the blue filter to look through smoke so I am not sure if the blue filter works as described in either smoke and perhaps fog. I brought the kit for the red filter (to keep my night vision whilst walking/camping and for the clips.

Three replacement lenses that can be fitted straight into the maglite or over the top and held in place by the anti roll plug that sticks on the end. As for the anti roll plug its chunky, it doesn't look very good on my silver maglite, tempted to paint my maglite standard black.

Perfect accessory for my maglite. The anti roll feature is a good idea and works well to fit the filters. From what I gather the blue filter is for fog/misty conditions and the red is a super low light to avoid detection etc. The clamps/holder is sturdy and holds the maglite well.

I own several D cell Maglites and really appreciate how easy it is to switch these accessories from one to another. The clamps are great for securing a torch in a vehicle, the hexagonal bezel offers stability when torch is rested on ground and the filters are invaluable as I spend a lot of time outdoors at night for wildlife photography. Great kit and thoroughly recommend it.

Bought as Christmas present for my dad, works really well, torch is now attached to the wall so it is easy to get at and won't roll around if also put on a flat or slightly sloping surface.
