sturdy and safe
The gold is a nice shade but with so many other "gold" finishes it doesn't quite match the showerhead and faucet but probably nobody notices than besides me.

Excellent Appearance but Questionable Design
Unlike many high-quality grab bars where the ends of the bar are welded to flanges that then screw into the wall, this Esnbia unit is built differently. The weak point of this grab bar is that each of the relatively thin and slightly flexible mounting flanges are attached to the center of the ends of the grab bar by a single, quarter-inch-wide screw. The flange is then screwed into the wall (followed by an escutcheon). Thus, no matter how tightly the screw at the connection between the grab bar and the mounting flange is engaged, once mounted on the wall, there is a small amount of lateral movement under stress. While this is inconsequential for a vertically-mounted bar where the force angle is likely outward and downward, if mounted horizontally, pushing or pulling perpendicular to the bar axis elicits a small amount of movement, and all the force is borne by two screws.I would not rely on this bar, if mounted horizontally, to provide a robust support, particularly if force is engaged at an angle perpendicular to the bar. The failure point is a single screw. On the positive side, the grab bar has excellent finish, and arrives in protective packaging. Installation is intuitive. However, I feel that the mounting hardware is undersized. Even though we mounted the bar on solid wood, we still used longer, heavier (#8) wood screws than those supplied, which appear to be #6.

Not sure about this bar…
I needed a horizontal and vertical bar so I order a few of these. This one in particular has a different style of installation on the end. Most bars will have you run screws though the ends of that round bracket at the end. But that bracket is usually a part of the bar…a welded on piece. This one is different and allows “play” in the bar when mounted tight. It works but I think I’d choose a different bar because of that movement.

Nice and sturdy
The 15" Esnbia shower grab bar is made of stainless steel with a brushed nickel polish. It is sturdy and comes with easy-to-understand instructions. If you like the "Ikea" type instructions of only pictures, then you will be pleased. However, there should be additional instructions. First, the demonstration pictures only display a horizontal application. In order to install the grab bar in a vertical position, one should be sure to place the brackets with the holes for the screws so that you can easily tighten them. This would include mounting the brackets so that two holes are at the bottom of the bracket and the single hole is at the top. If the single hole is at the bottom, it will be difficult to tighten as the bar will hinder access to the screw. Second, the size of drill bit needed for the drywall anchors is 7/32" (or 5 mm). Third, the pictures indicate that the covers are just slightly out of the way when marking your holes for drilling. It is best to pull those covers to the center of the grab bar to be sure they are completely out of the way. They easily slide back and forth. Although the instructions could use some improvement, the product is a nice sturdy grab bar and easy to clean. It is made in China.
