Same diameter as the original cap, so fitment was good. Color code was different but the terminals are stamped with indicators so there’s no guessing. Old cap had my outside unit dragging on startup, this one fires it right up.

This product matched the specs of our 12-year old Carrier AC capacitor and fit the original mounting strap without modification. Made my first AC system repair nice and easy while following simple safety precautions from AC guys on YouTube. Overnight delivery was a nice bonus. I'm buying another one to have on hand for when the newly installed one fails, as I have done with capacitors for our freezer.

Agree easy home owner job. This job should not be required annually. OEM cap lasted from 2014-2024. This brand lasted 18 months. After checking contact resistance, replacing motor and capacitor expect 5 years minimum. Pay a little more get a lot more is my current expectation with this years replacement. At least Failure was not catastrophic and did not include rupture. Only fan section failed open. Maybe a great addition to truck, if return calls are your business. If ordering this one for delivery speed. I recommend to order the trusted brand for soon replacement is in future. Of course ordering the cheap one is ok. Just make sure to have something to replace it when it fails. To date 4.6 listed here. Really?

Replaced burnt out capacitor and now my AC is back up and running.

Died in 3 weeks. I am an HVAC professional, so I know what I am doing. This unit tested good and worked perfectly well for 3 weeks, then it quit working between the common and fan terminals. Thankfully I'm still within the return period.

I was a little intimidated taking apart the AC unit, but once we got the cover off, replacing this was relatively easy and we saved $700 on a new AC. Very thankful for this and the YouTube tutorials on how to replace it. If your AC isn't working right, give this a shot before completely replacing it.

A few months ago, our AC technician had reported that the start capacitor (7 years old) would soon need replacement. I bought this capacitor (exact spec. match) and installed it. It worked fine, but the next day during a routine check up by another AC tech. the new capacitor was found to be out of spec. He showed me the reading. It measured 33.7 mfd and the upper limit is 31.8 mfd. So this brand new capacitor was out of label spec essentially out of the box. I had to pay the tech to install a factory part after all. Also, too late to ask for refund.

After I troubleshooting, measured the capacitor, order ed this part, replaced, my friendas A/C restored to work well. This is good component!
