PETZL Tikka Compact Headlamp (200 Lumens) - SS19

I purchased this headlamp for outdoor work at night. I wanted a light with a wide even beam. It has a low light level which is useful for plumbing, fixing tractors, etc where I am close to the work. The brighter light is useful for walking through the woods at night. This lamp has five angles so it can be easily positioned to shine on my work or toward my feet. The headband is solid and should adjust to any head diameter. The light is lite enough that it doesn't bounce when I am running. It also has a glow in the dark ring around the light bulb so if you turn it off and set it down you can find it again. I think the band makes it a lot more useful than other lamps because both hands are free.I haven't had this one long enough to know how the batteries last, but with my previous Petzl lamp the battery life was quite impressive. This one is rated to have a longer battery life. I have been quite pleased with the previous light which is why I bought this one. If it is anything like the other it will do fine with rain, dirt, cold weather, being dropped on the ground, and use by children.

Does not look as advertised. Amazon is using the wrong pictures to show these headlamps. I have ordered both the green and blue versions, they look different than listed product images. Other than that, great products!

Petzl headlamps are best! They stand behind their products, my last one had such heavy use and it still works !I love this 200 Tikka model, it’s is really a lovely update from my last one, purchased six yrs ago...., the 200 Tikka’snewer head strap feel sits comfie and tightly, on my feminine sized head, the on off button function is smooth as expected, and the light’s color spectrum is natural feeling and and brightness are truly comfortable - also excellent formulti purpose from trail to home !

This headlamp is amazing for the price. I am an early morning runner in the northeast and the brightness is exactly what I was looking for especially in the winter where I need to avoid ice cookies and snow hazards, etc.I love that you can adjust the angle of the light and the different settings which will be handy for the changing seasons. I also like the glow in the dark feature after you turn it off- I could see how this would be good for camping and such. It is a little on the heavy side but not too bad. I feel much more safe running in the mornings now that I have this guy!

So far this is working out fine. We have some very loved older versions. While this one doesn't seem quite as stout,the other elastic bands broke after 8 years and really stank from wearing while sweating. I wish you could easily wash the band. The version is a little lighter to wear, but the band is thinner and doesn't fit as well or feel as solid. Overall, the first few months have been good.

I needed a reasonable priced headlamp for nighttime hikes/jogs, working in an unlit attic, camping, etc. This lamp has worked really well. I like the three lamp strength options. I tend to use the higher beam when I am outdoors, and one of the lower beams for closer work indoors. It’s also so much lighter than toting a heavy flashlight around for “just in case” events.

We’ve used this light for several years and it’s worked well. The light I received was not the same color as I ordered but I guess that’s ok.

I wanted a headlamp that had a wide beam for reading and working pencil puzzles. This fills the need perfectly! Plus the light is so bright, I can use the lowest setting with fresh batteries, the medium and high settings are TOO bright. I know the the light will dim as the batteries are used, but the lowest setting uses the least power and will last the longest.

Use this for reading. plenty of light in just the right place.Had it now for more than A year.It is really well made very comfortable and lightweight.This is a great piece of design and high quality manufacturing.Bought two more as gifts.

Excellent brand, never let's you down. Perfect for ecological night work. Red light is very useful.

I bought 3 head lights from different makers selling on Amazon as Christmas presents. The Petzl was the most expensive and on the face of it didn't do anything more than the cheaper ones - the more expensive of which was usb rechargeable and had a hand movement sensor switch, and the cheaper was only about a quarter of the price of the Petzl.However, it was immediately apparent before even opening the packages that the Petzl was in a different league as far as appearance and build quality was concerned. The other two will shine a light but looking at the way they are made I'm not sure for how long - they look and fee as cheap as the price paid.There are plenty of options in the control of the white and red on the Petzl, and it is extremely bright on the max setting.If I was buying 3 again, I would now know to go straight for the Petzl for quality.

I bought this for hill walking at night and camping. its a brilliant piece of kit, 3 light levels, a red light that can be set to flashing. it has an adjustable and comfy head band. I love that if you have it set to the lowest light, you can just turn it off when done instead of having to go through the whole light cycle (like you would a cheap bike light). I love how the lamp glows for a time when switched off, and its not too heavy too. I also purchased the lamp case for it to sit in when camping, I would highly recommend this too!this was the cheapest place to buy, mostly priced elsewhere at £30.

Ive used alot of head torches Petzl never fails me. Great for all uses Military and civil. I use this for work and pleasure great all round bit of equipment. This feels great looks great and is extremly bright. I use this for military use, running, walking the dogs and mucking horses out, feels great on the head and never gets uncomfortable can wear for hours.
