Uric Acid Gout Monitoring Starter Kit, with 25 Box of Strips

I received this monitor a week ago I have used it 3 times and on those occasions I used three different strips with different readings like tonight my first strip had a reading of 5.2 the second strip had a reading of 7.5 and the third strip had a reading of 10.1 in the space of 5 minutes?I have not long been diagnosed with gout and saw this meter and because it was that bit more expensive I purchased it to monitor my uric acid levels.But I'm not sure this is accurate?Could it be faulty?I'm not sure I want to take the chance with this?Please advise?

Worksfine, Yest strips are rather expensive at about $1 @. Absolute blood draw site cleanliness is a must. No residual hand creams, perfume, soap etc. Use a dishwashing liquid detergent with no additives and it rinses clean. Use an alcohol wipe and thoroughly dry. You are testing in parts per million and it is easy to contaminate the site or strip. They work fine if used correctly. My opinion.

Now that I've learned how to use it I think it is robust, accurate device. The instructions are somewhat confusing. The strips which are needed with it are really expensive.

Seems accurate enough. Did a test yesterday at 10:00 and reading was 6.1 . Had a hospital test at 11:00 and got the result today which was 5.4

I AM SO PLEASED THAT I BOUGHT THE URIC ACID MONITOR -- I CAN KEEP A CHECK WITH OUT TAKING MEDICATION ! --BUT THE STRIPS --THAT YOU NEED ARE VERY EXPENSIVE , SO I ONLY CHECK IT ONCE A WEEK NOW .
