Papier D'Armenie Natural Room Deodorizer - Original (1 booklet with 12 sheets)

Surprising how much the smell will linger after a relatively short burn time. There isn't too much of a burning paper smell since these must be soaked in perfume. I like the novelty aspect and think they'd be a great gift because of that. This one doesn't smell as good as the other scents in my opinion but still quite pleasant.

These papers are slightly toxic and should be used on a ventilated room, but they are effective for putting moths to sleep for 3 months or more.

I really like the scent of these papers pre-burning. I've placed a couple in linen and clothes cupboards and get a nice fresh scent when I open them. They are very strong when you burn them - fold one strip into zig zags ^^^^^ then light it, blow out the flame if there is one, and place it on it's edge in an ashtray or other safe surface and let it smoulder. It is quite incense-y and I can see why many people love it. I'm still making up my mind. I do think I prefer these to room sprays.

I really wanted to love this because of the hype, but unfortunately, the scent profile didn't work for me. On my end, it came across more like burnt paper than the intended fragrance. It might just be my personal preference, but I’d suggest it to those who like very heavy, smoky notes. No fragrance came through at all. Very let down.

A shame. I love Papier d'Armenie, and I've always found it strongly but pleasantly scented. This book was far weaker than previous books were. It could be that this has been sitting in a warehouse too long, or it could be manufacturing changes. The paper is also different and rougher than before, and lighter in colour.

Papier d'armenia is the best when it comes with nice smells in a home/house. It too sticks around for a while.

Lovely scent to these papers and very easy to use. The scent lasts for a good long while, and my cat seems to not mind the smell. Would buy again.

These Papiers d'Armenie work just as they are supposed to: you tear off a strip out of the booklet, fold it accordion-style, then light one end, and quickly blow out the flame, and set it down in an ashtray or other flameproof surface. The paper smolders, releasing a fragrant smoke, for about 3 minutes, then it self-extinguishes. The smoke is indeed pungent, so it's best to leave the room while it burns. Unburnt, the papers smell not only of benzoin, but opoponax, vanilla and amber as well. In fact, the unburnt smell is much like the old Coty ÉMÉRAUDE, ie., a classic French Oriental smell. These are delightful and charming, and would make great inexpensive gifts. The booklet contains 12 sheets, each sheet containing 3 strips.... So you get 36 burns from one booklet. In 1885, the Papiers were claimed to yield a smoke that was purifying, healthgiving and antiseptic; now we just know they smell really good.

I have not been able to get incense matches, so I thought I’d try these. They are a delight. If you’re feeling witchy, you can write intentions or runes on these before burning. The scent is sandalwood, but it’s not overpowering. These burn quickly. Perfect for a washroom or when you want to quickly refresh your space.
