The flakes are pretty small very hard to dissolve they don't dissolve all the way and leave little flakes in the wax I was very displeased

It’s been a few weeks since I ordered and while it was fast to be delivered I didn’t get to try out the dyes until last night. While I appreciate that everything was packed up and labeled correctly, the performance of the chips was lack luster. Some chips from different places haven’t been hard to use but no matter how much wax I tried to melt and combine with the dye it wouldn’t completely combine and was much lighter than I thought. It left small pieces that would not dissolve no matter what I did at first. Until I ground it up very finely it wasn’t that great and still left small pieces. I’m going to try and make another batch of small candles again tonight to make sure it’s not a fluke but I was upset for spending what I did to still end up with those pieces.

The price was great so was delivery. I didn't expect them to come in small pieces in little baggies. Some of the white has pink in it.

Like others, I had problems getting the dye to melt down and not leave flakes in soy wax. I tried several times with high temps above 190°F, and I still had flakes floating. Instead of throwing away the wax, put a layer of cheese cloth over the jar (secured with a rubberband) and slowly pour. The cheese cloth will catch the remaining flakes.I found a suggestion to microwave the color with a little bit of wax before putting into melted wax and it worked! Grind the flakes with the back of a spoon, throw in a small amount of unmelted wax and microwave about 2 minutes. Take it out and stir and put back into microwave another minute until melted. Work quickly once it's out of microwave and pour into melting wax.

I love candle making, and I was getting super bored so i decided to buy these dyes. Judging from the cover photo, they did not look cute at all but let me tell you- once it’s melted and hardened into the wax they look fantastic!Like all dyes, they take a high temperature to melt, so don’t be disheartened by the low rates reviews complaining about that. You should remember that a little goes a long way, these are super pigmented so only one or two little chips will so the job.I’m so happy with this product!

Needed high temperatures to melt these, it was hard to get them to mix, but they did make nice looking candles.

Not a big fan of this . Took way to long to heat up wax and to get them to melt was another story. I did as the instructions asked and still couldn't get them to melt Al the way down and make the colors I wanted.

Vibrant colors, and good price! I used this to make candles using a wax that melted at a very low temperature (It would turn butter consistency if you held it in your hand for a little bit). I found that if I started off melting the dye chips with a only tiny amount of wax in the double boiler while making sure it's all melted thoroughly it improved my overall color, reduced the possibility of unmixed flakes, and made mixing much easier! Would recommend for anyone who wants to make their own candles with colors that really pop
