I wouldn't say a lot of bugs bothered me but there were a few getting past it.

Worth trying.
I used this for the first time today for about an hour. After coming inside, I noticed that I had been bitten by the no see mosquitoes that are in my area. So I guess I'm not sure if it's effective on those. I will give it another try and move it closer to me.

Truly Repels Mosquitos!
Before I purchased this mosquito repeller, I sat outside during a warm summer night to see if I got mosquito bites. As part of that test, I received several bites on my leg and the top of my head (am I getting bald?). I then ordered this RibRave Mosquito Repellant and I tested it by sitting in the same spot at the same time of day around 6 pm and I can favorably report that I did not receive any mosquito bites! Since I am planning to invite about 12 friends to sit in my backyard later this month in August, I decided to buy 4 of them and will purchase refillers with each use which I think is fully used after 2 hours by my own estimate. Each unit states that it has a 30-foot range and at a cost of about $40 per unit including taxes, it certainly is an investment but I think it's well worth it if you plan to use it repeatedly either for yourself and/or social gatherings.

We use this at camp. I feel like if it is close it works, but not 20 or more feet. Much less mosquitoes overall.

Seems to do the trick!
The device is super easy to operate, and after leaving it on for 10+ minutes, I feel there is a distinct drop in the number of mosquito bites I receive on an average summer night. I can barely smell the citronella scent, although my husband claims it is quite strong. And what surprises me the most is just how compact this little device is! It is probably a little larger than a hockey puck, so it can be tucked into a drawer when not in use.Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase, and have even thought about buying more.
