Guts & Glory: The Vikings (Guts & Glory, 2)

My kids loved it for its humor, stories, and ease of reading. I loved it for those reasons and for all the great misc. facts. Many stories about real Vikings, Norse mythology, and battles. There's a table of contents, and an index for the ease of looking up specifics. The author also includes a bibliography to cite his sources and incase you want more info. and dig deeper. The Guts and Glory series really makes learning interesting and FUN!

Would be a terrific supplement for high school history. This author gives an energetic and never-boring depiction of the Vikings. Lots of cool obscure facts.

A lot of people don't know much about vikings but this guy writes it perfectley to keep young readers entertained.

Found these books and decided to let me son listen to the audible at night while he's in bed....he's almost 11 and has now listened to this book twice he enjoyed it so much (along with the other in the Guts & Glory series). Great job making history enjoyable for a kid and keeping the language clean. ;)

My 10 year old son is not a fan of history books or non-fiction books in general. But he enjoys the Guts & Glory series. The authors do a nice job of using pop culture references to help young readers relate to the content.

Really well written and very engaging. My two sons aged 13 and 11 loved reading this and the other books in the series, The American Civil War and World War 2. All three books were a huge hit and have read them a few times. I'm keeping an eye on this author for any other books which might be published in the future.
