The part I love about LG TV is the sound and ease to set up. This TV has a very clear image, the darks are very good and the colors are rich and vibrant. The set up is also very easy and flows smoothly once you have your WiFi connected. Being smart (which all are) the LG offering for channels is free and not bad at all. Some random sports on there which you never thought you would watch! the rest is Netflix, amazon, Disney and every other online option you can think of, all of which function great. The hand set is ok, it is smallish and could do with a little more space for operation but you do get used to it after a while. My other TV has a scroll wheel in the middle which is great for menu navigation. Overal if you are looking for a TV that is reasonably priced and not a ASDA special cheap as chips make you can viagly remember from the 90s then this is your tv... good picture, great sound and lasts!!!!

Superb tv, let down only by the most basic remote. Contacted lg support and purchased the magic remote suitable for this tv. Absolutely transformed the usage, alexa works, voice control works, and it seems much quicker to respond. Notwithstanding the fact that the magic remote should have been included, the tv picture, speed of loading up apps, sound quality which is terrific, and the modest price, the tv is superb!

This LG TV is great value for money. This size of TV is cheaper now than similar-sized ones were ten years ago, probably because people desire ever larger screens these days. 43" is more than enough for me. I've also been impressed with the longevity of the previous LG TVs I've owned, all of which have lasted at least ten years, and hopefully this one is similarly long-lived. There are numerous sound and picture settings, which should be enough to keep everyone happy. Connecting to the internet is simple and straightforward. You can access all of the various apps and catch up TV services easily enough through the menus. There are 3 HDMI ports, which is more than the 2 present on older LG models. The remote control is of reasonable quality, with a few useful shortcut buttons. However, it is very important to note that when you screw in the two (quite flimsy) legs required to stand the TV up, that they are approximately 76cm apart. I didn't realise this before ordering, it's probably not something most people look closely at, and consequently the TV will not fit on my quite large TV stand as the legs are simply too far apart. It worked out OK for me as I could just swap the TV with another one from a different room, but I can imagine other people wanting to return it because of this issue. Unless you plan to mount it on the wall of course, in which case this would be a non-issue. The other thing that I find troublesome is connecting the TV to a desktop PC via an HDMI cable. There is quite significant lagging, which makes it almost unusable with a PC as it slows everything right down. This was notable for me because connecting a ten year old 42" LG TV to the same computer with an HDMI cable leads to no such issues. I'm not sure if this issue could be resolved, but I can see no settings that are able to be changed to fix the problem. Overall it's a decent TV with a good picture quality, but there are a couple of things to be aware of as noted above.

Great TV, used the feee unpacking service too

We purchased this TV for occasional use in a small, two-person household. We didn't want the TV to dominate our living room and for it to become a space only for watching TV, so the 55" was perfect. Since we're a 'no-TV license' household, we use it in the evening to watch shows/movies on streaming services and for gaming. As owners of a couple of high-spec LG gaming monitors, our expectations were high and this TV did not disappoint. We had no issues connecting it to any peripherals. We've connected a dedicated gaming PC, which works perfectly with the TV. We've also been able to remotely connect to the gaming PC in the office and stream with good picture/sound quality. As the remote doesn't respond to voice commands, we purchased a small keyboard with a trackpad which connected easily. We also fitted a small LED strip to the rear, which plugs into the USB-C port, turning off and on with the TV. As other reviews have mentioned, the sound and picture quality is good for the price. It has a variety of display settings depending on whether you're gaming/watching movies, etc. Overall, we've managed to build ourselves a decent set-up for grown-ups looking to relax in the evening away from our respective desks without spending a fortune. Pros: Easy to install peripherals Great for smaller spaces or if you don't want the TV to be the focal point in the room Great sound/picture Multiple display options Easy connections to a gaming PC Cons: Not a voice remote – husband griped about this Note: We can't comment on any Live TV features as we don't use them.

**LG LED UR78 55" 4K Smart TV, 2023 Review** I recently purchased the LG LED UR78 55" 4K Smart TV (2023 model) with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory.
