Impressive Results
First, this product IS FOR CATS. Visit their website. My senior cat was having episodes of very loose and very smelly BMs. She has been eating the same food for past year and it’s formulated for a cat’s microbiome. I tried the Gut Restore before paying for stool analysis through the same company. For severe cases this is the preferred first step to see which bad bacteria are causing issues. She has a history of IBD on and off since she was a kitten. She was adopted from my local shelter after her former owner couldn’t deal with her GI issues. Poor cat spent a year at the shelter. After about a week (opened capsule and mixed with a creamy treat like Churu) my senior kitty was back to having normal poops and thankfully they were almost odorless. I honestly wasn’t expecting it to work this quickly. It’s expensive but if it works it’s definitely cheaper than prescription food. I have a cabinet full of probiotics that didn’t work.

Placebo effect or it really did make a difference
I will preface this review by stating that I have an ibd cat, and we had a good protocol down before using another very popular brand of human supplement sacchromyces boulardii with mos and I dosed in my own preforpro using another very popular brand of human version. That worked well for almost a year. But this most recently flare up of uncontrollable diarrhea , those were not working anymore. I tried the animal biome gmp which is essentially the same thing that I was using but animal biome uses fos instead of the mos we were using and animal biome uses a very good version of fos. Long story short, between starting the animal biome fmp combined with the animal biome daily digest (we were using prozyme) we FINALLY started to see improvements in stool. We also implemented 500mg spirulina (research benefits of spirulina to the gut microbiome) , home made duck broth and caffeine free chammomile tea- 3ml of each 2-3x a day. And we’ve already been implementing animal biomes fmt / gut restore protocol. Hope this info helps someone! 2 vets wrote off this cat with zero solutions to stop diarrhea and uncontrolled weight loss/he lost 50% of his body weight from constant full blown watery diarrhea that nobody was able to get under control. We are finally on the right path, gaining weight and slowly seeing his health return and acting better and Better each and every day. It’s not easy with ibd but independent research is so important, don’t just rely on conventional vet practice as most are not up to speed on the gut microbiome and they just throw prescription meds at the issue that simply mask the symptoms but never resolve the underlying issue of the gut being totally out of balance.

Expensive; easy to use
These are very tiny capsules, which is nice if you can give your cats pills. I can't, so I just opened them and dumped them into their dinner; these are very easy to open, which made the process quite painless. Both of my cats have been having stress-related mystery gut issues for about a year now, so I was hoping this would help.I didn't notice much if any improvement, so I'll be sticking with my current probiotic (Fera brand — it has the same strain just less of it and includes others, too) due to the price. This is a two-month supply for one cat, but only a month for two, and I can't afford almost $50 every month just on probiotics! I think if this is something your cat needs vs. expensive medication, or something used intermittently for occasional issues, it would be worth it, but for myself (i.e. my cats) I would've had to have seen more noticeable results (vs. *maybe* it *might* have helped a *little*) to justify the cost.

highly recommend recommended by many holistic vets. We gave this company a try and they recommended this product and so far so good.

ONLY THE TOP DOZEN OR SO ARE USABLE
The first few caps came out easy to separate and mix with the food. After that they came out with impossible to separate or just solid paste, impossible to use. I won't do this again!

It works!
I have 2 kittens that I've raised from the time they were born. They've always had digestive issues. One of them has consistently had diarrhea for a while now. I've tried MANY digestive supplements including a probiotic that the vet recommended, but everything I tried had limited results. I've been giving them Kitty Biome for a few weeks (inconsistently) and no more diarrhea! I've been giving it to both of them because, even though only one of them has been having diarrhea, they have have really smelly poops and gas. So neither of them are having diarrhea, and their poop doesn't smell as bad as it used to. I'm using a lot less litter box deodorizer. And they seem to be feeling fine because they have a lot of energy.

Appears to be working
I have a cat that has chronic diarrhea. I've tried giving her pro-biotics and other stool hardeners but with not much success. I decided to give this a try because it contained Phages, which the other probiotics I used did not have. I've been giving it to her for just over 3 weeks now and have noticed some improvement. Her stool is still not quite solid, but at least it has some form. I will continue to give it to her to see what happens. What I like about this is that it is so easy to administer. I started by mixing it with her wet food, but eventually I just sprinkled it on top. She seems to like the flavor and licks it up. I like that they come in capsules. I simply take them apart and sprinkle the powder. It's more convenient than having to use a scoop to dish out the powdered probiotic and it also ensures that you always have correct dose. I looked up the manufacturer's website and they seem to have done quite a bit of research on this area.
