Meliusly Sleeper Sofa Bed Support Board Queen (60x48) - Heavy Duty Wood

I had large group of visitors during Christmas one had to use the pull out twin sofa bed ( not a cheap one ) knowing it’s hard to not feel the metal support bar even with a good mattress, I bought this in hopes it would help and per my son it worked! He has a bad back and said he slept well and back did not suffer . It is well made and folds it’s not as long as the bed but we moved it down a few inches to be able to support from shoulders down . Only bad thing is you have to pull it out if you want to fold bed back , but having a decent night sleep made up for a small inconvenience .

This product does exactly what it is meant to do. The thickness of the reinforced wood boards, within the protective covering, make it impossible to feel the crossbars inside the sleeper frame. The product boards run perpendicular to the frame, and are easy to place/remove. The support board folds like a fan, making it easy to store, taking up little closet space. We experienced no sliding of the mattress on the protective cover. Between the two of us, about 400 pounds was on the bed, and both of us were comfortable. Would purchase again.

The support board definitely erases the ridges caused by the bed frame! The only downside is that it a bit heavy for one person (of a certain age!) to install.

The product came as expected, it performs great. The only issue I experienced was that the silicone moisture control product part of the packaging was loose or perhaps broken and I had quite a mess to clean up and I was concerned I'd miss some and that it could potentially poison my animals. I keep finding it 2 weeks later. Again. Great product.

The twin was too wide and short for my loveseat sleeper. I had to return. If it was the correct size it would have been functional.

Fits perfectly under our queen sofa bed mattress, and made a HUGE difference in comfort. Can't feel those bars any more. It does feel more like a mattress on the floor than before, but so what? The mattress sucks, not the board. You can actually sleep on this sofa bed now - well worth the purchase. I store the support boards under the cushions. They don't quite reach from side to side, so the cushions are a bit off center. I might move them behind the bed, but not bothering me that much right now. This is meant to be a temporary/guest bed. If it was to be a long term bed, I would add a memory foam topper to compensate for the sucky mattress. As I said, that is a mattress problem. The bar lying under your back was a bed frame problem, and that is now solved!

This is a must for sofa beds. You can't feel the uncomfortable bars that hold the mattress and it makes an unpleasant sleeper so delightful. Good purchase.

I never write reviews but the way this product transformed my pullout sofa bed is inspiring me to! My Bobs Furniture sofa is a couple years old and has a nice memory foam mattress but it was still really uncomfortable It felt like your head was up high, your butt in a hole and then feet up a little. I can honestly say sliding this heavyweight board-like structure solved the problem. There is some wiggle room in the width and it squeezed in to fit perfectly on the frame even though I had thought the queen might be too wide. Now there is no perceived difference in head height and I think it would be comfortable for multiple night visits. I debated the permanent one that they sell that can fold up with the bed but I’m worried to mess with something that works so well. After using it I folded it up like an accordion and laid it under the sitting cushions. So now it’s a firm couch but fine by me. What an amazing product!

Works for us, read below, as we didn't buy it for a sofa bedWe got an old mattress which is high quality and cost almost 3k yearsss back, and finally it started showing some sagging. We love our mattress to be extra firm, and at the moment can't really go buy an expensive one again and unfortunately couldn't find anything we liked for cheaper.We got an extra firm foam mattress topper to fix it (3inch height). It worked well enough, but you could still feel slight sagging under back and bum.I decided to buy this to place on top of the matress and under the topper (sandwich, so to say, and it all sits inside a waterproof mattress cover do nothing is sliding anywhere).Our mattress is queen size, this fits perfectly width wise. As for length, obviously you don't need it to cover the whole thing as it sags under or back/bum area only. But having said that, we placed the boards about 25 cm lower than the top of the matress (and it has 55cm left to the end of the matress), as it felt more comfortable.And honestly, it feels great. The foam topper is now sitting straight and does its job, no sagging, and is nicely firm (I mean, in summer I often sleep on the floor because it's cooler this way, so the firner the better).Might actually never go back to whole classic mattress setup once we get rid of this one, will just get a frame, and use these boards with a topper. Super comfy.Chose hardwood over flex option as flex seems to have a slight give which we do not need.

This is a perfect example of a product that sets out to do thing, and to do it very well. We have a very nice, but now pretty old sofa bed, that our son uses when during his summer visits. About a year ago, we upgraded to a much better mattress, as he let us know the bed was feeling less than great. He had actually taken to dragging the mattress onto the floor to get a better sleep. Not good. I got the Meliusly Support Board, and it made an immediate and drastic difference. He's been sleeping comfortably every night now. The whole thing is elegantly simple and efficient in design, and very well manufactured. In theory, I might have been able to cobble something similar together for less money, but nothing nearly as good as this.

Definitely helped the sag feeling in the mattress.

Very pleased with this item. Got it for a pull out couch for our summer home after having terrible back pain when sleeping on it. This worked great and really levelled out the pull out bed. Worth the buy.
