Not 5 star quality, though no fault of this media
The media itself is great, it lasts 2-3 years, pretty straightforward to remove the old media and put this in. The one-star deduct, and you'll see this in other reviews, is for the really crappy quality of the 'pins' that attach the media to the evap cooler sides and back. The first time they're easy to use. But subsequent use, they bend way too easily. And they are just barely long enough when they are perfectly straight; once bent it effectively shortens the pin and good luck attaching the plastic washer/nut. I've started replacing the pins with long machine screws, works well. Wish Hessaire would do this from the factory. Or at the very least, include a set of these cheap fasteners with each media set purchase. This media is not cheap, and the fasteners would be a negligible cost to Hessaire, and who knows? It might just result in better brand loyalty...

Things they donโt tell you about installing your new cooler pads.
Begin your pad replacement by going to the Hessaire website and watching their installation video. Begin your installation of new pads by removing the back panel as they describe. Note that the nut securing the fan has left hand threads (righty/loosey -lefty/tighty! Remove the old pads by loosening the plastic tabs and then pushing the pins out from the inside of the cooler. Now the part that they donโt tell you is that you will have to notch the right pad at the bottom (see attached photo) and you will also have to notch the rear pad to allow for full range of the float arm (see photo). Using a Shish kabob stick or something similar to make pilot holes for the securing pins will make installing the pins easier. Also installing an in-line calcium filter will help eliminate calcium buildup on your new filters. Have patience and have fun and enjoy doing something productive with your time!!!
