A Year in Brambly Hedge: Celebrating forty years of Brambly Hedge with this beautiful storybook gift set

Got this for my 3 year old daughter. They are a little above her head yet, but she'll grow into them!

Bought both sets. Both sets came in with clear plastic wraps on the boxes so you know they must be brand new. The papers inside of these books are in matte finish. Can’t wait to read them all!

The "Brambly Hedge" picture book book series by Jill Barklem, can be enjoyed by children & adults, alike. I have collected the entire series (total of 8 tiny books) that she first published in1980's and then recently in 2014, 2017 & 2020. I also have the one larger earlier book that contains all the 4 seasons along with Jill Barklem's biography complete with a sweet photo of her as a little girl in England and several of her illustration sketches. These wonderfully illustrated stories of Field MIce and their woodland creature neighbors, are a delight to read. Upon receiving her first book in the 1980's, it has been my tradition to read each of the stories that coincide with one of her story's seasons. JIll Barklem, who passed away in 2017, was such an imaginative illustrator and author. I do believe she now is at play with her friends within the Brambly Hedge.

Reading this with my husband brought back all the wonderful memories of reading them as a child. They are beautifully illustrated with tons of wonderful characters and little details in the pictures that are so fun to look at. These are beautiful books with amazing illustrations. Everything but the size was as I expected. They are much smaller than the ones I remember reading as a child. This is disappointing because the details of the illustrations are harder to make out. However I do still recommend these books.

We love these books. My son was so excited for me to read them aloud to him.

Perfect! We have the book "The Complete Brambly Hedge" and this has the first 4 stories from the book. My daughter loves to listen and read along and it's enjoyable/soothing for everyone to listen to.

Book arrived in the exact condition as described and in the expected timeline.
