These are great for what I and my wife needed them for. My wife likes the smaller balls for adding to her nail polish bottles to help thoroughly mix the polish before she applies it. They are the perfect size and weight for that. I like the larger balls for use in my acrylic paint bottles for use in my airbrushes. They get in there and really mix it up quite well, with no problems in how they function. The balls are polished steel, and when I empty a bottle, I just pour them into a paint measure cup and top it with air brush cleaner and wait about 10 minutes until all the paint is loosened up and then I rinse them with water, and put them back in the case. If you don't have airbrush cleaner, which is NOT critical for acrylic paints, you can use plain water. I recently airbrushed a 57 Chevy Belair model with 6 coats of a duplicated formula of the factory color of Matador Red, and once the bottle was empty, I cleaned the balls in water and it cleaned right up. It doesn't matter if you use acrylic or enamel paints, it does the job of getting the pigments mixed perfectly to easily flow through the airbrush. And you get enough of each size to easily do several hundred bottles. 5 stars

Great value for the money

Precision is important when dealing with ball bearings, and the majority of these bearings are 100% in spec. I purchased these specifically for a project that required 5mm bearings. The project was going fantastic, except I had random jams, that I just couldn't understand. I took it apart, pulled out the bearings which visually looked fine, on closer inspection though, I found a slight flat spot on 1 of them. Yes, 1 bearing out of 50 had bit of a flat spot. It's hard to imagine this is common, but since I had 20 spares, not a big deal at all, tossed out the that bearing, replaced it with another, and a few weeks later, still working perfectly.

Can't beat the price and is great for most mountain bike rim bearings.

I bought these bearings first as a way to fix bearings lost from spring clips on various tools with replaceable bits. It is hard to find small bearing, but this was an excellent choice. I'll probably need the larger sizes for other projects too :)
