Perfect for Rock Collecting
I got these for the kids on a family vacation to the beach. They are perfect for rock and/or shell collecting. If the kiddos pick rocks that are wet, the mesh lets them dry. If they pick sandy ones, the sand can fall out of the mesh. And if you have kids who would collect every rock they see, it gives them a nice limit - you can say that once the bag is full, no more collecting the rest of the trip. This trick led to one of the little rockhounds much more selective than he'd normally be.

Perfect for the beach
I bought these so my 3 year old granddaughter could pick up seashells on our vacation last week. They were the perfect size for her and the mesh bag let most of the sand fall through and we were able to wash the bag and clean the shells at the outdoor shower before bringing them up to our room. Since we only needed one bag we gave the other 3 to other children on the beach. Would recommend for all ages!
