Well worth the money!
This product is amazing! We bought it to install our fish/depth finder on our boat. Installation was very easy and so far the stern saver has been very durable! The stern saver as stayed firmly mounted to our boat and we have had no issues since we installed it. This item is a must if you are not wanting to put holes in a fiberglass boat, which we avoid whenever possible. I highly recommend this product, you are unlikely to be disappointed.

Solved my transducer mount problems!
I have an older aluminum boat (1988 Hewescraft River Runner) that has seen a few owners. One of them had covered up several previous mounting holes in the transom with a solid plate that they had attached to the boat with silicone and screws. Might have worked when they first did it but had developed into a serious leak. I took that off, sealed all the holes (16 of them) with J B weld and then attached this unit. Remounted the transducer and no more leaks! Install was easy - the instructions were well written by someone who spoke English as their first language. The kit comes with everything you need. Overall an excellent product that works as advertised.

Installed on a 15ft rivet jon boat..and it works!!
This will work on a aluminum boat.Great Product. Saved me from drilling holes!! One thing I could not find were reviews from individuals who installed this on a aluminum boat. So here is my review. I installed the stern saver last week on my 15ft G3 riveted jon boat. The hardest part was sanding down the spot where I was installing it. You most sand off the paint to bare aluminum!! The instruction state how to do this with the supplied sand paper and template. Once I got the spot sanded I followed the rest of the directions and it worked great. Been a week now, and has not fallen off...I even tugged on it and tried to pull it off.. One thing to note.. Most aluminum boats are not 100% flat. there are waves in the aluminum which will not allow you to get the stern saver completely flush on the bottom of the transom. so, you will have to move your stern saver around a bit to find the best spot to mount it. Also, be careful and be aware of the locations of the rivets on your jon boat, these will get in the way... Hope all that made sense. Why only four stars.. nothing is ever perfect..

I used this product to cover up old holes in my boat, and then installed my new transducer on it. It sealed up the old holes nicely and was a great surface to install my new transducer on! Simple to install and rock solid.

Did not hold
Fiberglass boat. Sanded, cleaned and prepped the area as instructed. Let it sit for over a day. Fell off first use.
