Great for someone starting off fishing
Purchased for a 10year old taking up fishing. Really pleased with quality and selection of items

Good kit to start, but needs some tweaking
I bought this kit to start up fishing again and it has worked brilliantly. I will say, do not use the line provided, swap that with some decent line. Get some decent hooks and you will need some better floats as the ones that come with it fill up with water and break very quickly. After doing this I have pulled out all varieties of fish including bream and carp.

Rubbish
Poor quality throughout. I’m amazed that Matt Hayes lends his name to such a poor quality product. There is not even any mainline included in the pack so how it can be called a starter kit is beyond me

Get what u pay for, little disappointed.
Not enought line, bank sticks let's say cheap, landing net flimsy and definitely won't last long, wouldn't say ready to go in the slightest, as a beginners kit would maybe have reel wound at least and supply enough line for the reel.

The tip snapped off on first outing. The 2 stars are because the accessories seem decent enough. Don’t bother with the rod. Matt hayes I’ve met you a few times . You should be ashamed of this

Cheap and Cheerfull but not really worth it
Bought this set so I could take my grandson fishing with me, on opening the box my heart sunk, the rod is okish the real is cheap and nasty best thing about the set I will be honest is the little tube of floats.you getA rodA realsome line( not enough to set the real up properly)some floatssome hooks (barbless)a landing netsome artificial bait2 rod rest (really cheap and nasty)you do NOT get a discorgerits will be ok to get him started but other then that I could of picked up the bits better quality cheaper locally, bit disapointed be honest seen as its a Matt Hayes branded set.My grandsom likes watching his videos so thought this would be a sweet present for him to come fishing with Grandad ah well live and learn.
