Cheap re-fillable containers as replacement for "Growbags"
Plastic pots (probably made from heavy duty polythene sheet) are re-fillable replacements for "growbags", suitably sized for growing tomatoes, cucumbers peppers, etc placed 2 or 3 per conventional 1 metre tray. Sturdiness depends on properly filling the pot. Peat-free compost can be used; most growbags use mainly peat, due to be phased out by 2024 in England. Wicks can be inserted at the base to enable watering from below and minimise the need for very regular watering from above. Liquid fertiliser can easily be fed from above. These pots are very much cheaper than the rigid plastic pots and are expected to have a reasonable lifetime, though being black are currently not recyclable. In future, brown plastic would be better. A minor glitch is that only 49 instead of 50 pots were supplied.

Should last a long time
Thick plastic with drainage holes, cheaper than similar sized pots and easier to store. Only one season so far but looking good.

Blooming good bags
These bags are great, I use them for chillies, tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes and more! They are my go-to pots as they can be moved easily, they last very well (the vast majority of mine are still going strong 3 years later), and rather than having a leaning tower of pots in the shed, when these are empty they can be folded up, minimising storage space. As I am growing more plants this year I confidently bought more, knowing they will be good for years to come!

Simply amazing for more reasons than you realise
These are awesome, didnt really think about it until I saw them once they arrived, but once summer is over and you pack them away, they'll store flat, so handy.

Really useful size for potatoes
Perfect size for planting a single potato at the bottom of each. I then cover them with compost and stack them in a line in a trench. The roots go through the holes into the natural soil. The whole procedure makes harvesting a doddle when the time comes, just lift the bags, the roots are left behind. You can pull out the leaves and stalks and then only the potatoes and compost remain. You can even store the potatoes this way as long as the compost is completely dry.
