I was traveling and forgot to take my earplugs, so I bought another pair to keep in my luggage. They are so effective against loud sounds, including music. I already have hearing problems and excessively loud music is painful and a little scary as I can't hear as well as normal for a day or so afterward. These were recommended to me by a musician friend who played standing in front of enormous speakers onstage. He said they saved his hearing, and I believe it! Highly recommend! Great price, too!

I'm a mechanic and I've been wearing these all day everyday for years now. They're fantastic. Quiet without being muffled, can still carry a conversation just fine. Can pop them half out to talk on the phone. I go through a couple pairs per year.

Perfect amount of attenuation to comfortably attend most concerts. Unless you are right in front of the mains, you should be comfortable. The biggest deal for me was flat-ish attenuation, so the mix was correct, just lower SPL. These deliver in that aspect extremely well. Used them at a Dream Theater concert, 4th row, amazing fidelity and hearing safe noise level. Siskel and Ebert give them two thumbs up.

I use these for my renovation work and am impressed with them. They take the edge of the noise while keeping the clarity - which was important to me. Just be careful to twist and take out slowly.

These are adjustable so you can choose how much sound to block. I love these for dancing in clubs or going to live shows. Most venues with music could care less about your hearing health. My Apple Watch measures the decibels and these help protect me and still enjoy the music or show.The best part about these is the adjustable nature so you have some choice about how much sound to block. ALSO they make it MUCH easier to hear conversation that you wouldn't normally be able to hear or have in the middle of a music space.
