The idea behind the collar is great. Unfortunately, it only took 2 days for my cat to figure out the breakaway collar and lose it forever. If I used a regular collar it probably would have been better, but then I take the risks associated with that.

Seemed to be a great idea but unfortunately my cat figured out quickly how to break it away from her neck. I even tightened it thinking it would help and it was again found lying in the grass broken apart. It didn’t work for us.

My cat does not object to wearing it, and we have stopped the steady flow of dead rabbits, etc that were appearing at our door as trophy's. Encourage anyone interested to look up "prey safe collars "and " bird be safe collars"- which explains so much better.

If it weren’t for this collar the bird population would die literally die out! I have a Coon mix who hunts anything that moves and have watched him sneak up to our backyard tree to try and snatch a bird in a split second! I can’t bear to have another poor little bird dropped off on my porch another minute. The bright reflective collar must be distracting the birds to where they can fly away in time. Also there’s a bell on the collar and it jingles as soon as my cat bolts. I haven’t had one bird get dropped off at my back porch since I put this collar on. Thank goodness and will order a couple more in other colors to change it up a bit.

my cat had it on went out for a couple hours and it was gone and he had a dead animal so can’t give any good input.
