5Strands does test for food intolerances, which are imbalances in our pets diet or environment. These imbalances exhibit in symptoms such as hot spots, upset stomach, biting paws, constant scratching, etc. 5Strands does not test for immune system responses known as true allergies which require immediate medical action.

Don't worry that is just asking for your Amazon Order # so that we can confirm valid purchase upon arrival of your sample! We will email you once we receive your sample successfully!

Q: Will it test for a chicken allergy?

Yes…in fact it tests for chicken, chicken meal, chicken heart, chicken fat, chicken liver, chicken by product and chicken broth for allergies. Dogs can be allergic to some of these but not all and at different levels of tolerance.
