It's a good bottle. I really like it, but the skin has a tendency to hold onto odors. For example it'll hold the gym odor for about 2-3 days. Not my favorite smell when drinking water.

The dual opening really appealed to me, in addition to the efforts this company is going through to collect ocean-bound plastic and use recycled materials. When I bought the bottle, however, I found it too small for my needs and had to return it.The bottle itself is about 500 ml, about the size of one of those tall aluminum cans of beer. The bottom of the bottle is made of recycled plastic, which helps prevent the paint from chipping as you place it on rough surfaces. The body of the bottle is painted stainless steel, and the top wide and narrow lids are plastic. There is a rubber carry loop between the two, which seems sturdy enough when closed, but might come off with the narrow cap open. I’m any case, I definitely wouldn’t use it to swing the bottle around. I ordered the rock gray colour, which definitely comes off a lot brighter in some of the product photos (almost white), but it’s definitely much grayer in real life.Ultimately I returned it both for the size and just because you can find other quality bottles for less. The YETI 18 oz rambler is almost half the price of this one (and I suspect better insulation, but not sure), although it doesn’t have as nice a design, nor does the company (to my knowledge) go to the lengths that Ocean Bottle does to be sustainable and support sustainable initiatives.

I have been looking for a bottle that has 3 parts like the one that I bought from Starbucks so that I can make my tea and still keep it cold or hot for as long as I need it for. The a best part about this bottle, aside from the size capacity, is that it comes off in a lower section so that you can put your tea bag in there and it will hold it in place even when you drink it. The feel of the outside text is a great feeling in your hands and the lanyard feels like it won't break when holding on to it. Highly recommend and glad I found it!

I do like this thermos and I am glad I got it. It is sharp looking. It is quite light. It fits just enough coffee for the morning and keeps cold water cold for quite a while. It is on the smaller side, which means it fits easily in my work bag. That said, a couple recommendations.... I have had a few leaks - mostly user error. I hadn't screwed the middle on tight enough once or twice. My fault, but maybe there could be a way to be sure something is screwed on completely, like lines to line up or a snap sound? The other leak was the top - after washing, I put the handle/ring on the neck upside down which meant the top wasn't screwed down completely. Took a minute to figure out the issue. I found it keeps hot things hot for maybe 3-4 hours. While other products might keep things hot longer, this one opens at the middle and can go through the dishwasher. Yay! Major selling point for me! So easy to clean by hand, too, because it comes apart. I like the socially responsible part and I have no problem paying a little more to protect our seas. All in all, I am glad I got it and I will use it for years to come.****I am adding an update. No matter how much I tighten the middle piece, it leaks. I am so sad because I like the bottle. I hope to get a replacement to see if it is just this bottle, or a design flaw. ***I received a replacement via Amazon. I can see that the rubber gasket in the middle piece came out and I found it in the dishwasher - hence the leaks. I noticed it says it CAN go through the dishwasher but it is not recommended. I do still like the thermos a lot. It is much easier to wash by hand because it comes apart at the widest part of the bottle. I use it for coffee with milk, so I wanted to be sure I can see all the way inside and be sure everything is clean. I will likely not use the dishwasher (I had only run it through 2 or 3 times!) because it dislodged the gasket.

I was looking for an alternative to my Hydro Flask and have been using this bottle daily, washing it daily, and it holds up nicely except for the rubber rings. I'm hoping that I can purchase a few separately to continue using the bottle.

This water bottle was supposed to have a built in chip to relay to an app on your phone to monitor your liquid intake habits. Unfortunately, this did not work, do it was just a very large water bottle without any other bells or whistles for a very high price. I bought this for my kids, and it was much larger than I expected. That part was my fault though as I did not do my research. For $60 I would expect I could wash it in dishwasher, but it says not to, so that was disappointing. I only tried it one time with water before realizing the water app did not work, and in that one time it did not leak when I tested it (by tipping it over so if it leaked). Otherwise it was too big for a kids hands, and not useful for me as it wouldn't fit well in a cupholder. I ended up getting water bottles for a third of the price in the correct size and I'm much happier with them.

I'm quite disappointed about the color as the fog gray is much darker than some of the photos, but regardless it's a very nice water bottle.

Habe mir erst eine 500ml Flasche gekauft und haben jetzt noch zusätzlich die Brew und 1l geholt.Der Gedanke zum Recycling ist top, die Qualität hervorragend und super durchdacht das ganze System.Kleine Öffnung zum angenehm trinken, große Öffnung zum gut befüllen und perfekter Reinigung und alle Teile sind beim Hersteller direkt nachbestellbar sollte doch mal was kaputt gehen.Der Trinkverschluss ist fühlt sich angenehm und wertig an. (ich habe sehr empfindliche Zähne und bin absolut zufrieden)Bisher wurden nur Leitungswasser 'kalt' darin gelagert und hat ordentlich die Temperatur gehalten.Die App ist schön gestaltet aber nur in Englisch (relativ simpel aber) und leider auch nicht für meine Region brauchbar (refill Stationen) wobei das ja bei uns auch eher Rarität ist als Normalität.Habe jetzt alle anderen Flaschen aus mein Regal genommen und werden verschenkt/verkauft. Have been using this everyday since it has been delivered - mainly for getting my daily water intake at home, or taking it with me to work/gym. I opted for the larger 1L bottle to be on the safe side.For the time I've used it, its been great. The Ocean Bottle keeps my drinks cold during the day, and my hot drinks nice and warm when out and about. I have not tested the temperature over longer periods of time (i.e +4 hours), so cannot comment on paramount longevity of the drink remaining at the desired temp - but from there description, they are not trying to compete with a proper thermo bottle. So it all depends on your needs if this suits what you want. In fact the website itself advises 'The lid is deliberately not insulated, to avoid drinks staying too hot for too long (you do actually want to drink that coffee, after all) and to keep the bottle lightweight.'One of the main reasons I purchased this was to be able to give it a really good clean at the end of each day. You can split the bottle from the top third, and easily get a large cleaning tool inside. I have not tried this in a dishwasher, and probably wont as it's easy enough to clean in the sink. If you really want to scrub every nook and cranny, you can also remove the inner seals inside the lid and top portion, then place back in when dry.Really happy with this purchase, so much that I have just ordered the 500ml version, mainly because the larger one does not fit in my car holder (not a fault of the product, each car varies). So I can then have different sizes for shorter trips when needed.

This is the most functional water bottle I’ve ever owned. The fact that it opens up in the middle makes it easy to wash and fill up. The loop on top makes it easy to carry, and the size isn’t too bulky which I find rare for stainless steel water bottles. The environmental benefits are the cherry on top. I just wish there were more colours!

Quality feels as good as the half litre version from a couple years ago, hopefully it's as durable as well.
