Perfect
Superb quality at a superb price. My wife is amazing in every way, and excels in all areas, including the kitchen. Her Indian, Thai and Indonesian dishes are out of this world. When she wants Sambal Oelek, gets this product via Amazon and is happy with the result...it's very good!

Jar size is small and paste is sour!

Recipe has changed!
Won't buy again. The flavour used to be rich and pack a punch. Colour is darker, flavour has gone.

Really just terrible.
Really awful sambal oelek. It isn't spicy in the slightest and tastes more like a mild watered down jamaican jerked bbq sauce than an asian Sambal. It's much more watery than any other sambal I've had, and can't really be classed as a paste at all, more like a marinade or sauce. And whenever I've had it in a dish I'm constantly pulling hard bits of hard tasteless chili flake out of my mouth (about 3cm in length). Gutted I bought a 6 pack of this, I'm going to be throwing away the other 5 jars. It feels like a waste but it's thoroughly unenjoyable and would just end up ruining many more meals.

Tastes Incredible.
Just a single teaspoon of this paste added to your fried rice dishes or noodles whether using chicken, prawn, or any other meat will blow your taste buds into another dimension. Really really tasty.

Indonesian seasoning for fish and marinades.
I use this product in marinades and find almost impossible to eat from the jar.
