Great rod & reel combo!
Great reliable rod and reel combo. Might be a little overpowered for the size of fish am after, as I reeled in a 17lb catfish like it was a minnow. Regardless, its a great setup. I liked it so much that I bought 3.Edit to add:If you're going to be fishing off a boat, make sure you get the 7'0 ones. The 8 footers are awesome, but I think they're better situated for shore fishing where you aren't in danger of clotheslining your fishing partner off the boat.

Gets the job done.
I really like this rod it's sensitive yet powerful enough to pull good sized fish up 10 ft bank. The reel is a little under powered but overall for the money you'll have a good time with this combo.

Awesome pole!
I got at lteast 10 catfish with this thing. beat...i should say...wiped the boys out lol...held well.. very impressed. well made. will have to replace the reel in a year because its mostly plastic..but well worth the pole. thanks

Great for the money
Caught a few 3 and 4 pound cats on it the first few days i got it. Action feels good and solid.

Great Rod and Reel Combo
What I feared in buying this rod was a lack of sensitivity. My fears were unfounded. Though a heavy duty rod it still has enough sensitivity to sense to light biting fish. It has a great feel with smaller fish and does a great job on larger catfish. It performs flawlessly. RECOMMENDED!

Love this combo and I am thinking about getting another one.Smooth reel, medium heavy power...just right for my kind of fishing. Sensitive enough to feel light bites and limber enough to see them.Highly recommend this combo.
