The media could not be loaded.  If you've had a neb at my profile here on Amazon, you might have noticed me mentioning that I own a horse. Now, I should get it out of the way quickly that this doesn't mean in any sense that I'm wealthy - I'm really not - but I am aware that these creatures and the riders that sit upon their backs are horribly vulnerable when they have to ride along roads, and if you do a quick Google search for horse and rider accidents on roads, the majority of them are caused by the drivers of cars, trucks or buses becoming impatient or angry and pulling stupid moves on the road with their vehicles on the road. I picked up this camera while on sale looking for a cheap action camera to capture some footage of our young kids playing on their bikes and scooters. I wasn't expecting stunning footage but the cheap price was important in case the cameras got trashed.For the price, this camera and it's bundle is ridiculously good value for money. As well as the padded, protective case, there is a large range of attachments which should help you get the camera mounted in a way to get the footage you need.The most critical aspect of this is the video quality and in good light, the image quality is genuinely very good. Very fast motion can catch it out a little when shooting at its highest resolution of 1080p @ 30 fps but otherwise it has provided very good footage indeed and you can always drop the resolution down to 720p @ 60fps to better handle faster action. The auto exposure system works well and quickly which was another surprise and greatly appreciated. As light fades, the quality does drop a little as noise and other artefacts start to show but this is expected of any camera with a smaller sensor and the vast majority of the time I'm going to be shooting during the daytime.The clear, waterproof housing should ensure the camera is well protected as it feels very sturdy and while I haven't tested this out under water, during a rain shower there was no water ingress at all.The camera also generates its own wireless network so you can connect to it with your smartphone with a free app. I haven't tested this feature out but again, it is nice to know it has this option for remote control of filming and reviewing the footage.The camera has a few modes of operation including a very handy time lapse feature and the still image quality again is very good in good light. There are plenty of options for resolution and quality.Being an action camera, the lens does provide a gentle fish eye effect due to the wide angle designed to capture as much of the scene as possible and this pretty common. You can use software to straighten the footage out or you can crop into the centre of the scene if you want to avoid the distortion that is mainly towards the outer edges of the image.
