Very small base plate dimensions so not stable if free-standing
Quite useful as an emergency but seems over-priced (£18.99) for a collection of very small steel rod and box section and some thumb screws.The base plate is very small (9cm x 15cm) so not at all stable if the item is used free-standing. Stability can be improved by putting something heavy on the base plate, like a house brick. Probably fine if the base plate is slid under the vivarium. But be very careful if you do this with a glass tank. You'll need to use a thick, cushioned aquarium mat and/or a thick wooden board under the tank to prevent any localised pressure points acting directly on the on the glass.

The stand cannot support the weight of a small lamp. Only really suitable if you are putting a tank/viv over the base.
