It's absolutely rapid with a decent drive. Well pleased.

Works with Samsung Smart TV without lag. The next test will be in a BMW with NBT EVO.I'm using NVME 512GB and is perfectly fine with this enclosure.

This is not a USB 3,2 it will not work in my 3.2 sockets and this is a fairly recent Gigabyte Board.Works perfectly in a USB 3 socket transferring at over 600mbs on mine ina the 3.2 sockets it starts and rapidly falls to KB per second like something out of the eighties. Pack of lies typical of these manufacturers That or the fancy cable they supplied with it is not capable of 3.2 But I haven't another to test it and shouldn't have too.

Shame a double enclosure only comes with one cable. Doesn't make sense to me ! lol

It does really work, both my SSDs are communicating with the computer properly, but the cable, which has a "usb/usb-c" adapter seems not to work properly with the USB cap. I had to replace it so I've got an extra cost on doing it. Was worth not to loose my 2 2TB Nvme SSDs, they were quite expensive years ago, but not very happy with the cable they send with it. Also, there was only one cable included on a device that has 2 USB-Cs connections, so, you can only use one SSD at a time. I thought I would get 2 cables, then I've read the description properly, fair enough it doesn't say 2 cables, keep that in mind.So, bad cable and only 1, but the case is really really nice and dissipates heat properly.

In many ways well made, the case is sturdy and would have been resilent I believe. HOWEVER, the sticky pad needs to be stuck on first and then (on the 3 NVMe devices I have) the heat sink has to slide over the top. You may be able to push it on from the top, but I wasn't going to risk damaging expensive SSDs.The use of the rubber grommet to "secure" the SSD is just awful. There's a reason it's normally done with a screw.For a 2230 (the short one), it would have been extremely difficult.Returned for a refund.

there is supposed to be a screw inside to hold down the drive that you temporarily install. No screw, so used a bit of tape to hold the drive in position.There is a catch that latches when the unit is closed, but the latch didn't line up correctly. Notwithstanding that, the item worked as it's supposed to, if the two problems hadn't occurred it would be 5 stars

not sure what the seller thought, givin 1 cable for a dual unit with 2 usb c input.And no 1 cable is not enough as it sees 1 ssd only with that 1 cable.Otherwise a nice build but overpriced if there is only 1 cable or no option to use the 1 cable to run 2 ssd.

I purchased this M.2 NVMe / Sata SSD enclosure so that I could work on my computers. I needed to replace a M.2 hard drive that failed to boot, and in using this enclosure I was able to pull the drive and attach it to another computer so I could pull files off of it. Whenever I fix a computer I try to save as many files as possible before replacing the HD or reformatting and installing software. I have several different external enclosures to accommodate different types of drives so this was added to that arsenal. I was looking for an enclosure that could work with several different types of SSD's and this fit the bill.The shell is an aluminum alloy that does not feel as if it will bend. The two plastic trays have a button to slide so they will slide out easily and they also feel strong and do not flex. There are no screws, just bumpers that are easy to slip into the grove on the HD. Since I was not keeping the HD in the enclosure, I did not use the enclosed heat sink. The connecting cable (1) has an adapter so you can use USB 3 or flip it off to use type-C. It only comes with one cable as its expected you will only be using one side or the other, the M.2 NVMe or the SATA SSD.

no se puede usar en raid a menos que esten conectados las dos bahias y solo trae un cable. y ya armado se siente fragil, el tornillo de goma que sostiene el disco no es muy seguro. Lo voy a regresar.

Buena calidad de materiales y de montaje. Solo comentaría que estaría bien que tuviera un interruptor para encender a voluntad y no tener que estar conectando o desconectando, sería deseable unificar en un cable y una cosa extraña es que siendo los dos SSD montados idénticos y conectados ambos a puertos idénticos USB-C / Thunderbolt de un Thunderbolt Docking HP y este a portátil Workstation HP, trabajando, uno de los SSD de vez en cuando se reconecta ofreciendo carpeta de contenido, no me ha pillado en lectura o escritura y no se si afectaría (no, no tengo activado ahorro energía en USB)

J'ai acheté ce boîtier ORICO Dual-Bay pour accueillir deux SSD M.2 NVMe, que je souhaitais agréger en JBOD / RAID 0 via les "Espaces disques" Microsoft (Windows 10 ou au-delà requis, pour la gestion d'agrégats de disques).L'idée était de pouvoir agréger deux NVMe pour bénéficier d'un stockage de taille conséquente, et y déposer des machines virtuelles (copies de VM issues d'un PC tour) qui seront ensuite exploitées sur un ordinateur portable (donc pas besoin de parité pour sécuriser les données, offrant ainsi un espace de stockage maximal).Les deux câbles du boîtier sont connectés à un hub USB / switch multifonctions, lui-même branché sur un port USB(-C) 3.2 Gen 2.Les machines virtuelles ainsi raccordées à l'ordinateur portable tournent avec une fluidité impeccable. Aucun décrochage de disque, notamment par éventuel défaut d'alimentation électrique.Ce boîtier ORICO gère individuellement chacun des deux NVMe, avec chacun leur câble. Certains peuvent considérer cela comme un inconvénient, et préférer un boîtier avec un câble unique, quitte à prévoir des cavaliers pour spécifier comment les deux disques doivent être vus (= individuels, JBOD / RAID 0, ou RAID 1). Les deux câbles séparés peuvent à l'inverse présenter un avantage, si la connexion via un hub USB a tendance à faire décrocher les disques faute d'une alimentation électrique suffisante : on pourrait dans un tel cas brancher par exemple un câble sur un connecteur sur une des tranches de l'ordinateur portable, et l'autre câble sur un connecteur situé sur la tranche opposée dépendant d'un second contrôleur avec son alimentation propre (Important : veiller auquel cas à ce que les deux connecteurs fonctionnent à la même vitesse : il arrive en effet qu'on ait par exemple de l'USB 2 à gauche et de l'USB 3x à droite).Le boîtier est livré avec 2x un dissipateur de chaleur et un pad thermique. Prévoir néanmoins un petit stock de pads thermiques de précaution, pour pallier les erreurs de montage ou renforcer la protection thermique proposée d'origine).Avec cette protection de base, les NVMe n'ont jamais excédé les 38 degrés (selon Crystal Disk), au terme d'une exploitation de deux VM en simultané, sur une tranche de une à deux heures. Si on pose la main sur le boîtier, on sent par contre assez nettement la chaleur qui en émane.Pour les besoins qui sont les miens, ce boîtier répond parfaitement à ce que j'en attends.A noter qu'Orico propose également un boîtier NVMe mono-disque intégré dans un switch multifonctions (USB / HDMI / SD Card / ...), qu'il est tout à fait possible d'intercaler entre ce boîtier-ci et le connecteur USB-C.Très bon produit, ramené à l'usage que j'en ai.
