Decent tablet, great for the price
Fire Max 11 and it’s surprisingly good. The screen is bright and clear, handles streaming and browsing well, and the battery easily lasts a full day. The octa-core processor keeps things smooth, though 4GB RAM isn’t the fastest for heavy multitasking. The ads are a bit annoying but not a dealbreaker. For the price, it’s a solid tablet, great for media, casual use and some light gaming. Just don’t expect it to replace a high-end device!

Better than expected
The Amazon Fire Max 11 is a solid choice for those looking for an affordable yet capable tablet. With its large 11-inch display and efficient performance, it stands out in the budget tablet market.Pros:Big, Vibrant, The 11-inch screen with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels offers sharp and colorful visuals, making it great for streaming and browsing. The sleek, modern design with a slim profile and rounded corners makes it comfortable to hold and visually appealing. Powered by a Mediatek MTK8188J processor, it handles everyday tasks smoothly and efficiently. Offers up to 14 hours of battery life, which is impressive for a tablet in this price range.Cons:The tablet runs on Amazon’s Fire OS, which means it lacks access to the Google Play Store and some popular apps. The device charges relatively slowly, which can be inconvenient if you’re in a hurry.Overall, the Amazon Fire Max 11 is a great value for its price, especially for Amazon Prime subscribers who can take full advantage of the Amazon ecosystem. Its large display and solid performance make it a good option for media consumption and basic productivity tasks.

Functional Tablet
The Amazon Fire 11 Tablet is a great budget option. Its 11-inch HD screen is good for streaming, reading, and browsing. It’s lightweight, sturdy, and handles everyday tasks like apps and videos well. The battery lasts all day, and it works smoothly with Alexa and Amazon services. However, the app store is limited compared to regular Android tablets. If you use Amazon a lot, this tablet offers great value for the price.

Good tablet and great battery life.
Bought it as a refurb for £100 and so think that is a fair price for the unit. Installed Google Play and so got the apps I wanted. If that had not worked then I would not rate this item at all. Installed a 512gb card so storage is no problem.Great for travelling with as I can download lots of films and the audio is good enough to listen to films etc. Battery seems good so far and I am not taking my macbook on holiday now as I can just use this device. It is not amazing. it is just good as a basic tablet for entertainment and stuff. I bought it after having a 7 and 8 Fire tablet. I think the size of this is very good and convenient. Build quality is also good, just a shame the OS is not better when you first buy it as it was an interesting process to get the Play store to install on it, plenty of youtube on how to do this though. So if you are happy with the idea of a basic tablet then this is good at the refurb price.Update after 6 months is the battery is still good.I have it in a simple case and keep looking at the Amazon keyboard- but cannot justify the price, may wait for a Prime sale to slash the price to something more realistic.I also find that having WhatsApp on the tablet a really good experience as you can manage multiple messaging with the big screen easier.

Bright, light and responsive
I'm really enjoying using the new Kindle Fire Max which was a replacement for an older version. It's solidly made and , more importantly, takes extra memory cards to extend the space available for storage. Battery life is pretty good - it does last at least for a couple of days but I suppose this would depend heavily on how and when you use it. It's very sleek in its design (and this does cause a slight problem as I can never find the power key on the first attempt!) with non slip feet. It's solidly built so this means that the weight is distributed fairly evenly - in my hands it doesn't seem to sit comfortably and needs to be propped up on something for extended use. Recently I bought a fine nib pen for it [not the Amazon stylus] and am able to write notes with the keyboard input pane. This is particularly useful and is fairly accurate ( possibly 70-80%) although some interesting alternative words are often inserted and the writing area positioning means that I often close the app by mistake.Initially the Fire Max came with a layout that I didn't like - this is customisable so I was delighted to be able to remove the 'app suggestions' and "you might like this" strip that originally appeared on the screen [this is not the same as the "advertising" or "not advertising" versions that put an ad on the lock screen, but additional advertising in the guise of 'helpful suggestions']. The need to connect this tablet directly to a bluetooth headphone/speaker set is a sign of things to come although the speakers inbuilt are fine for short durations [and of course you can always link it to your Alexa]. I did try and remove the passcode to get into the machine, as its only used at home , but wasn't able to accomplish this although reviews on the web say that it is possible - later I discovered the nifty little fingerprint scanner in the power key.As for all Kindles, this machine is expected just to use programs from the Amazon App store which does limit some areas (I can't find a Whats App application but have now managed to get Onenote running again - something I issed on my old Kindle). The Kindle app seems much clearer for reading on the screen and the link to home automation is welcome (although it doesn't seem to pick up the Meross plugs around my house)In all though, its a great successor to the previous Kindle (that I had until the external card reading stopped working properly) which is clear, easy to use and with enough storage capacity that I don't need to be concerned about adding new programmes to it.
