I'm a big fan of NEEWER as a brand.  I'm a professional photographer and filmmaker and have been impressed by the quality of their products and their outstanding customer service.  I have purchased several items from them, including their super sturdy C-Stands. I even purchased the NEEWER casters for them, and they're so smooth.Over the past few weeks, I've been using this NEEWER Camera Rig Kit with my Sony A7iii and it's been a game-changer for my film shoots. The kit's versatility and adaptability have made it easier for me to capture high-quality footage in various settings and conditions.  It's very easy to mount the camera and slide it into place. The materials used in this rig are light, but substantial. The kit's shoulder mount and C-shaped bracket have provided me with the stability I need to capture steady, professional-grade footage. The shoulder mount, in particular, has been a lifesaver during long shooting days, reducing fatigue and allowing me to focus on getting the perfect shot.  The grips are well padded, flexible, and feel really comfortable while shooting.Additionally, I've been using the NEEWER Mini Follow Focus (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BLNDPJ18) in conjunction with this kit. This compact tool has made manual focus adjustments a breeze, allowing me to achieve fast and accurate zooming. The adjustable A/B hard stops have been particularly useful, enabling me to preset and adjust the appropriate focal lengths according to my shooting needs. The focus wheel, coated with soft, non-slip silicone rubber, has made focus pulling smooth and accurate.Overall, the combination of the NEEWER Universal Shoulder Rig and the NEEWER Mini Follow Focus has significantly improved my filming experience. These tools have not only made my work more comfortable but also enhanced the quality of my footage. I highly recommend them to any filmmaker looking to elevate their craft.

It is not a gimbal and does not replace 100% the function (vibration reduction) but if you train yourself to use the one properly you have the perfect gimbal complement (for all the situation where you don't want to spend the time to setup your gimbal....). It is much cheaper than a gimbal and you can give it different functions (using as a sliding rail for zoom effect) or to move your camera around. Very usefull and very reasonable price.

Have used this for a few events so far and I have to say it definitely is an improvement over handheld footage, especially for long shots. I don't recommend using it for more than an hour at a time though as you may start to get a bit stiff and sore holding your arms out in front of you for that long. But for bursts of energetic footage here and there, this is pretty good. My only real complaint is that the plate the camera sits on should be built up higher above the pole tracks it currently sits between. If you have a lens on a dslr, you likely won't be able to push the camera all the way to the end of the tracks; the tightening knob at the end is on the top of the tracks, right in the way of the lens. It doesn't screw up the footage (it sits juuuust out of shot) but it means you can push your camera to the end like you should be able to.All in all, good price for a shoulder stabilizer. Could serve you well for a few years if you use it right.

I have a bunch of Neewer gear that I use, and for the price point, it's excellent. As described in the product listing, this is a basic shoulder rig, not a fancy bells and whistles shoulder rig. For that, it is appropriately priced and also performs appropriately. You do have to tighten the clamps down quite a bit to prevent slippage, and everything is made without considering the weight. It is not light. It is not that comfortable. But it's not expensive and you can use the parts to make a different type of handheld rig. Considering that, I have no complaints with this shoulder rig.

For all the shoulder mount systems out there, this is definitely for entry level and nothing more. The design reminds me of the shoulder rig systems from 2012 and 13 that were coming out to help DSLR filmmakers have something that provided more cinematic movement. It's a basic design and yes it can get the job done, but there are just better options overall. The shoulder pad is intuitively designed with the various mounting points, but that's where the compliments end. The pad itself is pretty bad. It's tough and hard with little cushion meaning that having this on your shoulder is going to cause pain, fatigue, and soreness after a day of use. The handles are okay, but it's something about the quality of the material used that doesn't hold up very well when sweat becomes a factor. Plus with all the mounting options, 15mm rail clamps is a little old and Arri rosettes would have been better. Quick to adjust and easy to lock down. Get this if you absolutely must, but if you can go with other brands like SmallRig, Tilta, or even PolarPro, those will be wiser investments.

I shoot multiple ways: handheld, tripod, and occasionally shoulder rig. I got this to supplement my small rig and camvate brand accessories, which are currently set up for the handheld and tripod use. The neewer kit will cover the shoulder use case, and, as claimed, interoperates with my other gear with no tolerance issues.I'm well pleased.Pro's:- Nicely machined, no rough edges. Fit-n-finish are uniformly good.- As claimed, interchanges with small rig brand equipment, including the hole spacing on cheese plates- The tubes have safety stop endcaps, prevents accidental separations- The supplied camera baseplate is particularly well made. It matches up nicely with my camera's cage, allowing two screws to securely fasten the camera cage to the rails. The baseplate also locks securely to my Manfroto style quick release plate for my tripod- Con's:- The handle tube clamp takes extra tightening to keep the handles from slipping or spinning

Solid, well engineered parts. Comfortable to use - just make sure to adjust it for you, which is easy as everything is adjustable!One thing to bear in mind if you are new to this, is that you will almost certainly need a frame mount for your specific camera, if you have any other attachments or need cables in the right place. Of course that is normal, this being an excellent shoulder-mount to build all that on top of.
