5084831 Direct to Rust Metal Paint - Hammered Dark Green Finish 250ML

Covered the slightly rusty iron work on a garden bench. Wow it was totally transformed by using the green hammerite paint. One coat is all that is needed and only 20 minutes to dry.

I used this to paint over a metal garden bench. It was easy to apply, coverage was good and it dried quickly.

It goes on OK and looks good, but brush cleaning isn't covered in the instructions. I asked the question in the comments and Rufus said to use water. This didn't work, so I had to go out and buy some white spirit, which worked OK. Instructions should always include cleaning requirements, which should be accurate.

I used the copper and green paint to refurbish an owl garden ornament which was in danger of rusting through. the copper was for the owl and the green for the stand. it looks good and rain just drops off it. it now flaps its wings in the wind again and should last many more years. I'm delighted

Paint my steps in this colour and you just have to wash the brushes in water

Delivery was withiin the time frame given and the tin was well packed. I followed the directions, removing the rust then painted the garden ornament. Application was easy and I'm really pleased with the results and hope it last a few years. Thank you
