Flimsy & Twists Out of Shape on Carpet
We have commerical grade carpeting and pad like you would see in an doctors office or professional building (low loop, tight to the floor with little padding) and its just too much for this platform. I have to use a 1/4 thick piece of plywood under it until my hubby and modify it for me. I do use the Wii board with no problem on this carpet but add the platform and it rocks and stops Wii connect... so it's not the carpet its the cheap plastic bridge. The problem is in the three piece contruction. The feet sections are strudy but the thin, cheap piece of plastic that bridges them together bends and twists in you hands right out of the box. During stepping (on low loop carpet), the platform causes the Wii board to loose connection because the Wii board rocks side to side/ forward and backward rather than stands strudy in one place like a rock. The 4 screws that are suppose to support and connect the bridge to the two feet are almost as small as screws you find in eyeglasses... ok they are tiny bit bigger but they are VERY VERY tiny brass things that have NO HOLDING strength because the plastic bridge is too thin and cheap. One of the 4 screws that came with the unit striped out while I was screwing it in... the plastic just melts away leaving a very bendy and rocky platform that WILL NOT perform on carpeting... for a solid surface floor it would be perfect. The height is great and I like how the Wii board's feet sit down into the platform... this is why my hubby is gonna make it right, the way it should have been made, rather than buy a different one.

Just What I Needed
I finally gave in and bought this riser for my Wii balance board. I have used for it for the last four days and am wondering why I did not buy this earlier. I use this item with Sport Active More Workouts. I do three 30 minute workouts. By the end of the second workout, my energy is flagging and I start to count the number of steps left in the third one. This really did kick up my step workout a couple of notches.I gave this item one star for fun because no one has fun when working out, especially if you think you are going to die mid-workout because you are being pushed very hard. ; ) I gave this product an overall four starts because, while I had no problems with the stability of this riser, I do wonder about the middle part of the riser. It looks like if someone stepped on the middle of the balance board, while on the riser, and put all her weight on it, the riser may break. I don't know if this will happen, and I don't plan on trying, but the middle part looks flimsy. I just make sure I am always stepping on the left and right of the balance board.I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in revving up a Wii Fit (or Plus) or More Workouts step aerobic routine.

I'm really enjoying this but.....
I've given this product four stars because of a few minor things. Since I tend to use my Wii Fit balance board for mainly the step aerobics portion, I will limit my remarks to my findings in that area.1. Before I ordered the step platform, I read all the reviews. Because of this, I was prepared with my four chips to put under the legs when it arrived. Definitely necessary! In general, I find that the step does make the advanced step aerobics section of the Fit Plus more challenging, which is what I wanted.2. Even with the chips though, I find that it still does not record some of the steps (not that many, but still there are some).3. It also seems much harder to get a 'perfect' on the off-stepping portion of each step. Because I'm in it not so much for the score, but for the exercise, the fact that my scores are well below those from when I did not use the step platform does not keep me from using it. However, it would be nice to see an accurate recording of the exercise I did.4. It would be nice if you could lift and move the whole thing without actually having to put you hands under the step. A handhold on each end would have been a nice touch.Would I recommend it? Absolutely! Be prepared for a better, more physically satisfying workout and enjoy!

Use wider, longer screws...
I bought this to use with Wii Fit Plus free step workout because the normal routine at maximum length doubled was not providing enough of a workout for me. While I did receive everything needed to assemble this product in the box, the screws provided to connect the flat bar to the feet on either side were far too short, and the pre-drilled screw holes in the bar were drilled so large that when I attempted to assemble this the first go round, the screws provided refused to tighten down and instead ended up going through the holes (this was just using a handheld manual screwdriver and asserting minimal pressure). I had to sort through my screw assortment to find some wide and long enough to attach the legs to the bar without them being too wide and large that they would crack the plastic. Once I did this, it was very sturdy and provides one heck of a workout because of the extra height I must step up to do the free step workout (feel the burn baby!).Overall, I am satisfied with the product but I would still recommend that the manufacturer provide wider and longer screws (or perhaps a bolt/nut combination)to fully secure the bar to the feet, otherwise after time the screws may work themselves loose or the plastic lose its integrity around the screws from the continual friction and the platform may become unstable, possibly leading to injury or damage to your Wii board.

Stepping
This is a great addition to any step routine on the Wii. It gives you exactly the same workout as if you were at a step class as it makes the Balance Board the same height as a 'step'. It is very stable and does not move and I feel that the Wii Balance Board is just as steady and safe on it as it is on the floor. It was really well priced for what it does.

Wii Balance Board Aerobic step
The step fits perfectly on the bottom of the balance board, and is very solid. It raise the balance board up by about 3" to leave the total height at about 4". Would've liked it to be a little bit higher, but it works fine when doing workouts. Happy with it :-)

Snug fit to the Wii Balance Board. Rubber pads on the bottom. Zero slippage or movement. Very, very pleased.I'm using this in combination with wrist and ankle weights to really increase the work outs!
