Do the units we are getting have us serial numbers so they will be eligible to get the smart-net and licenses from cisco?

Yes, definitely. All Cisco Business CBS series switches available on Amazon.com have US PIDs. i.e. serial numbers destined for use in the US. Products are eligible for Cisco Smart Net Total Care service support. Bear in mind that the Cisco CBS product line does not require any license and switches come Cisco LLW hardware warranty with all feature-functionalities enabled.

Is this switch rack mountable?

Yes, it is rack-mountable. The Cisco CBS350-48P managed switch comes with rack-mounting ears suitable for a standard 19" rack cabinet. Also, remember that all CBS350 series switches are rack-mountable, and come with rack and wall-mount kits.

what is the ethernet port on the far left side for? can that be used for "piggy-backing" or "daisy-chaining"?

Hello,

The RJ45 port you see on the far left side of the CBS350-48P switch is the RJ45 console port for device CLI access. There is also a standard mini USB Type-B port. You can do stacking with up to 4 units. Please keep in mind the CBS350 switches you can stack are only the 10GE uplink models and full 10GE models i.e. need to have suffix "X" in the product ID (for example CBS350-48T-4X). Stacking ports are the 10G ports.
