Prepara EVAK Rubberised Handle, Matt Black, Small

This works as advertised. I have had several supposed 'vacuum' storage containers for my coffee beans. Some had hand pumps some were battery driven but they all had problems of one kind or another, mostly with the valves getting clogged. I appreciate that this isn't exactly a vacuum, it simply evacuates excess air, it continues to just work. Not a criticism of the product but if I were to get another I would get the smaller one, as it is difficult to reach the handle at the bottom when only small amounts of content remain. I am a large oaf so if you are more dainty you might not have this problem.

Looks great but it is fragile. Two of these have broken in less than a year.

Brilliant for my coffee

good idea in principle and looks elegant....BUT...slightly too small for the standard pack of coffee beans which is what I wanted it for..AND after only 4 weeks the glass broke in my hands as I was withdrawing the top....therefore I think this product is both dangerous and not fit for purpose.

Excellent product. Clean, practical, handy, I have 10 in different sizes for everything from nuts to crisps to hamster food!

brilliant design, clean and no fuss

Fantastic product-didn't really understand how best to store coffee beans but this is so much better than fridge or freezer. And the product is practically and aesthetically exceptional. Excellent.

I bought this for coffee beans. Works great but doesn't quite hold a 12oz (340 g) bag of coffee, so I bought another one for when I have 1lb bags of beans.

I use it to store my coffee beans, and the air tight seal keeps my beans fresh.

Awesome for coffee beans. Keeps them a bit fresher than just leaving them in the bag and also looks a lot nicer on the countertop than the bagUpdate: just nearly cut my hand in half on this thing. Was pulling the plunger/lid upward and the top half of the container shattered. I'm not the hulk. Please be careful handling this

I bought this because I wanted a quality airtight container that would keep my coffee beans fresh. I'm the only one in my household that uses whole coffee beans and I don't go though a whole bag myself so the bulk section is the best for me. However, this container was a disappointment. As shown the handle broke off. Looks like it was held together by glue. That's a poor design as the top is meant to be pulled so glue is being loosen overtime. I don't like supporting terribly made products so save your money and don't support this scam product.As a note, other items I've gotten from Amazon have just stopped working. Amazon is becoming more of a buyer beware merchant, sad to say.

Handle broke apart within a week--it simply separated into two pieces during normal use.

I waited a while before I reviewed this item. I wanted to run it through a few cycles to make sure I tested it thoroughly.It is a solidly built product but unfortunately it didn’t really extend the life of my ground coffee. Maybe it would be better for whole beans, but I didn’t test for that. I used it with fine grind, course grind, and espresso grind and it didn’t keep the grounds any fresher than putting them in a zip lock bag and squeezing the air out. That surprised me because the concept it operates under makes perfect sense. It just didn’t do what I hoped it would.It is small and compact which works for my space needs. As a storage container it is ok but I wouldn’t recommend using it for short life foods.

This is a great vacuum storage container. It looks great on the counter. The lid forms a vacuum seal and is very easy to use.Coffee beans will stay fairly fresh as long as you don't have direct light hitting the container.Not sure how long the seal will last but if I ever have to submit a claim, I'm hoping prepara's customer service & warranty match the quality of this product.

Coffee bean containers are simple in theory but after having several it's the little things that count. Great attention to the mechanics went into the plunger and it shows. This beats out my previous 4 coffee containers. Picky espresso drinkers, pull the trigger on this one.

Lowering the lid does a great job of minimizing air in the container. Raising the lid is easy after the vacuum seal has broken. Beware, the jar is glass so rest it cautiously on hard surfaces.

It’s perfect and exactly what I need to store in an airtight container.

Doesn’t keep the air out like it says with in a few days the contents were dried out and stale...Decided to pick up a mason jar with a air tight cap.This will probably be used for random screws & nails in the garage since it doesn’t do what’s it’s supposed to.

It is smaller than it says it is

Much much smaller than described. Upon opening I discovered the top of the lid (with the handle) wasn’t even adhered to the lower portion. I had to buy a tube of Gorilla glue to fix it. Otherwise it works and looks good.
