Gogogate2 with Wireless Garage Door Sensor, Open, Close, and Monitor Your Garage Door from Anywhere with Your Smartphone

It was simple to install (make sure you have a compatible motorised opener!) and works very well - useful to know when my garage door has been left open or I need to open it remotely for a delivery. Would have got 5 Stars if it wasn't for:- Pricey bit of tech- The admin part of the App is a bit clunky to use and you can't set someone else up to be able to open/close the door as well as receive notifications/alerts unless they also use the admin account (normal users can open/close but can't get notifications/alerts)- The wireless door sensor mounting could do with a redesign. In spite of cleaning the garage door with a degreaser after a few weeks it fell off and I had to buy a new battery cover which broke (luckily the sensor was still operational). The battery cover which is the mount could do with a screw mount option instead of just double sided tape so where feasible you can use small screws to secure it to the door

Very simple little device which just connects to the wired switch contacts on your existing garage door if you have one, or if like me you don’t but the motor unit has it as an option. I added this to my 2 x Hormann Garador garage doors and ran some bell cable between the Gogogate2 unit and the controllers. I also purchased an extra wireless sensor as it only comes with one.It was up and running in a matter of minutes and I spent most of the installation time of approximately an hour tidying up cables and testing it.The app is very simple and easy to configure although I thought it disappointing that if you want to add a video stream it is an additional subscription within the app. So instead I used a Nest Cam I already had to cover both doors, which just means I need to switch apps to check the video to see if the door has opened or closed.Overall. Really great product and much more cost effective than some others including my garage door manufacturers option. App could be better designed but is functional and subscription for a video feed is a bit mean.

Installation to my existing garage door operator was straightforward enough, although you really should expect a printed manual from a £150+ device - all documentation was web based. Unfortunately I found the Wireless sensor to be extremely temperamental, so much so that I elected to return the entire package. It is far, far too sensitive to not being 100% on the horizontal plane which meant that the device often got out of sync with the actual position of the door (thinking door was closed when it was open and vice versa). Very disappointing.
