This is a large kit and looks great in the box. Lots of beads and they are in small containers that pop open easily. The real problem with this kit is that over half of the beads have smaller openings than the string that this comes with. So you will either have to buy more string separately, or not use many of the beads. There were also no bracelet endings for this, and the string that this comes with isn't stretchy, so it is also not a great kit for that reason.

This set is a good value for the money considering the number of beads that you receive. However, I did have some complaints. First, the clear/translucent faceted beads and the "pearlized" round beads are extremely tiny, I'm not sure they're even 4mm. Next, you only get 4 colors of the translucent heart beads (which are also small probably 5-6mm), and they're not even close to distributed evenly. You get hot/dark pink, light blue, green and yellow but the number of pink and light blue is far greater than green and yellow. I also wish that the set included more of like the turtle and opaque rondelle type beads and less of the tiny beads, especially the translucent faceted beads that you way too many of. I did like that it came with opaque faceted bicone beads as I had never seen those before. As far as the letters and the string I couldn't care less as I already have a large assortment of letter beads and don't use string, I use either jewelry wire or elastic string.

I love how all the beads come in their own containers and there's a great variety for the kids to choose from. However, the threads that came with set is terrible. The threads kept coming apart and it's really hard for the kids to thread it through the small holes in the beads. Matter of fact it was hard for me as an adult to help! I ended up using pipe cleaners with the beads and it worked SO much better. I would still recommend it, but be sure you have alternative thread or pipe cleaners on hand!

I bought 2 of these and was going to gift the second one until we went to make BFF bracelets. We ran out of e and a but had more letters like x and z so I had to open the second box to get the remaining letters which only had one of each a and e in there. I suggest going to an arts and crafts store and buying letters separately from this box set if it's a gift.

I bought these to make 'jewelry' with my granddaughter. We were very disappointed with the letters. While we had 4 or 5 Zs, we only had one E and 2 A's. Fortunately, she decided on MOM instead of her mother's name, which would have made it impossible to have her name as there was only 1 E. I realize that the letters are probably random, but certainly you can produce more vowels than consonants. For a young child learning to read and spell this was disappointing.

This was a nice big set and my daughter has made a bunch of jewelry pieces with it. She's 12, and this set is a great intermediary set for those kids who are not quite ready for real jewelry making tools, but too old for childish jewelry making sets.

Used these to entertain the older kids at my son’s 1 ye birthday party and they were a hit! The older girls (9-11) could use all he beads and the string provided. The younger girls (2-3) could use the bigger beads and strung on pipe cleaners. I still have a bunch leftover for next time!

The beads are fine but the tray they come in is flimsy and the string that comes in the container is for friendship bracelets not for beads and is too thick to actually use with these beads. If you get this set buy some string too.
