Pink Platinum Big Girls' Double Leopard Trench Coat Jacket

I have an 8 year old who still has a bit of chubby baby belly so I ordered this jacket in a size 10/12. Although the sleeves are, as expected, long for her, the trench fits just snugly around her waist. So, I wouldn't recommend this if you have a husky child. But I'm still very pleased with the quality of the material, especially since the price was such a bargain. The trench is lined, so it provides some protection from cool weather on spring or fall days. And I was surprised when the trench came that the fabric is actually quite waterproof. The hood is detachable and the bottom of the trench hits my daughter just above mid-thigh. This trench is adorable! This item gets 4 stars because it needs belt loops. The belt just ends up on the floor or crinkled up in my daughter's back pack and she doesn't use it. Only a matter of time before it disappears altogether. Thank goodness this coat is just as cute without it. It's the perfect weight for a damp spring day. My daughter wears a 7 but this 7/8 is going to be around for 2 springs because it is made VERY well. Did I mention i goes with everything? Yep, I'd buy it again.

The fact that both the word "coat" and the word "jacket" were used for this jacket was confusing. To me, a trench is a coat and should be longer than a jacket. Unfortunately, this is pretty short. We went with the smaller size because my daughter is slender and it went along with her measurements (even her height). But this looks like it's for someone much shorter to me. We were hoping to use this for church over her dresses and have it come down at least to just above her knees. But it barely covers her backside. On the upside, it's nice material, seems well made, and is pretty.

This coat fits just right and is very pretty. I do feel like the hood/collar combination is a little odd. In part I think that is because the hood has the option of being removed. That being said it is worth it having the option to remove the hood. My daughter has worn it very often in the short time she has owned it and it still looks clean and is holding up well.

My daughter is generally a 10/12, and she can still sometimes even fit into a 7/8; however this jacket seems to run small. It was shorter than we anticipated and the arms felt tight, so it would be very uncomfortable with a sweater. I'm returning the 10/12 and have already purchased the 14/16.. That one fits perfect.

What a beautiful jacket for my 10 year old. We looked all over for a raincoat/spring jacket that wasn't pink or too babyish for her and found this! We got the red color and it is so cute! Classic trench shape in a true red color. Love the animal print trim on the hood and belt. My daughter loves it! We got a size 10/12 which fit her perfectly. Love that the fabric is a rain coat fabric without being too plastic or rubber feeling/looking! Am thinking about buying in a different color for her sisters! Great buy!!

This is a nice-looking, good quality coat for this age group. I love the ruffle and that the hood detaches. I think it's a bit too short but my daughter (the fashion girl!) absolutely loves it and I can live with her wet legs if she can. :)

I bought this jacket, in a size 10/12, for my 9 year old daughter who's kinda tall for her age. It did not fit properly. The hood is disproportionately small and didn't seem to match, in size, to the rest of the jacket. Too bad my daughter lost the belt the first day she wore it to school because I was certainly planning on returning it.
