The learning curve can be a little steep for beginners, but after a while, you'll figure out how great this machine is. Most important thing is learning a good burning software for it. I've got countless hour of time using it with Lightburn and have had zero problems. I recommend buying the program. I get lots of wows from the projects I've done on it.

This laser works great and was easy to assemble. After watching a couple of YouTube videos on how to set it up and use the software I was engraving on both wood and slate. The lightburn software is well worth the $60.00 that it cost. You get a free 30 day trial with it. The laserGBRL software works ok but it's not as fast doesn't seem to have all the capabilities of the lightburn software. But it is totally free. I would definitely recommend this laser to anyone looking to buy one.

It is a 20 Watt. Decent machine but a bit frustrating. It likes to reboot in the middle of a job. Wasting my material and time. Firmware is up to date. I would give it a higher rating if not for this.

This is a very well made Engraver. The package, the unit came in, was very well made. The parts are identified very clearly identified so that it made assembly very easy. It only took an hour to complete. I recommend the this engraver to anyone looking for one. I am very impressed by the timely support I got when I needed. PM

The unit operates as advertised; works very well with Lightburn; have been running it with different materials and thicknesses and has been performing well. Have been running it with an exhaust enclosure and the air blowoff assist. Only suggestions: assembly instructions are vague regarding the adjustment of drive eccentric and the alignment of the left and right rails, how even do they need to be? One improvement would be the USB connection on the top of the controller; it is too lose and can easily get bumped causing it to lose connection to my laptop; I remedied most of the looseness by fixing a wide plate to cable connector to help stabilize it.

Super easy setup and interface. 15 minutes from unboxing to first project. Customer service super responsive. They reply within an hour to any issues.

As I was putting this together, one of the last steps is to put on the laser assembly which is held in position by a thumb screw. There was a problem as the thumb screw was not able to reach the laser assembly. The hole it fit through was threaded too far back. I contacted support and sent them photos showing the problem. They promised to send me a new part. (That took 3 weeks as it had to come from China.) The replacement had EXACTLY the same problem. Through some hole drilling and modifications, I was able to clear enough space for the thumbscrew to reach the laser head, but I worry that someone else might have the same problem. Once I modified the slide plate (I notified the support people first about what I was going to do) I was able to use it, and I do have to say it works absolutely GREAT. Were it not for this problem I would give it a five star rating, but not everyone would have the machining ability to modify that slider plate like I did. I'm still waiting for them to send me the correct part that works as to specs.

This has been a great investment. It has enough power to do a wide range of materials, including metal. It has been an endless source of fun for personalized gift projects. There are many Youtube videos with instructions for assembly and use of the software. Youtube is also a great source for project ideas. I bought it for my own enjoyment, but many Youtubers are using it for business purposes. If you are in the market for a side business, or even a full time business, this is a fine laser.
