Bought these for a housewarming gift. When the recipient opened the box, a plate was broken in several pieces. Disappointing to the recipient and embarrassing as the giver. Cardboard box without adequate packaging. They are breakable.

It creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, especially during casual gatherings and camping trips.The melamine material is undoubtedly advantageous for outdoor use. It's lightweight, making it easy to transport and ideal for camping or picnics. Additionally, the set is dishwasher safe, which makes cleanup a breeze and ensures more time can be spent enjoying the meal and company.However, despite the claim of being unbreakable, I did experience some limitations with the durability of the dinnerware. While melamine is more resistant to breakage than traditional ceramics, it is still susceptible to cracking or chipping if subjected to excessive force or high impact. As such, it may not be completely "unbreakable," as advertised, and caution should be exercised during use.

I don’t want to knock these because they are exactly what they were described as being—melamine! We grew up using plates made out of melamine, and I thought it would be kind of cutely nostalgic . . . and they are. They look nice, and they did make me smile!However, I also had forgotten how non-versatile they are. They are really just hard plastic and I cannot put them in the microwave and I have a better dishes for dinner already so why would I use these? I do have a picnic basket, so I think I’m going to put them in there and just be nostalgic on picnics. There’s actually nothing wrong with these dishes, it’s just a reminder that old school is not always better. Still, enjoy them if you get them!

These are very pretty and I love them. I don't have a dishwasher so the top-rack-only part isn't a problem for me but I am concerned about them not being safe in the microwave. I'm so used to popping something into the microwave on a small plate... now I will have to rethink things before re-heating. On a positive note.. they are strong and sturdy and have a decent weight to them so you don't obviously notice they are plastic. Great for eating outdoors where there is a high risk of breaking glass dishes.

Yes I can still use these despite the scratches, but they were abhorrently packaged and that needs to be noted. Technically, the scratches are damage marks. And no, I’m not talking about the natural marks that are SUPPOSED to be there, these are scratches that reflect in the light and can be felt while cleaning.That being said, these are very cute and feel like a very durable plastic. Four large dinner plates, four dessert/ salad plates, and four bowls. Nice quality for a set like this, and they are a close match to some I already have.

The dinner plates are slightly smaller than most, but I like the set overall. The bowls are especially handy, not too deep but deep enough and not too large, but big enough (a little goldilocks, I know).I especially like these for patio eating and they clean up well in the dishwasher.

I have had melamine dinnerware in the past, so I know the utility value of the the material for casual dining and easy cleanup. They are dishwasher safe, which is a definite plus. However, the plates in this set are not level on the bottom, so they spin on a flat surface with any touch. That is aggravating, so I find that I need to put each plate on a soft placemat so it won't spin. That works, but should be unnecessary. The side plates and bowls don't have the same problem because the bottoms of those are not uneven like the plates.

I like the look of this rustic set. It is ivory and taupe/brownish. I thought it was going to be more gray tones, but it is not. I do like that they are unbreakable. They will be perfect for when the grandkids come over. I am bummed that you can't use them in the microwave. Overall, it is a nice set. I would recommend.
