"Funny" transcends age and genre
Let's get this out of the way: I'm old and cranky and I can't stand rap or hip hop or most pop music, period. I stopped watching SNL years (decades?) ago, too. This album doesn't look like the kind of thing made for me.That said, I loved this album! Why? The boys bring the funny. Big time. And they lay it on you so smooth, with such slick, well-produced, and familiar music and vocal styles, that the first time you hear these guys you'll probably get lulled into unsuspectinghood, or if you've got a case of the olds as bad as mine, even think, "Zzzzz ... not this kind of hollow-headed pop again." You'll never suspect the funny is coming at you until it flattens you like a runaway train bursting out of the dark.Miraculously, the joke then keeps going, enough to fill out a whole song. We've all seen even really good ideas that are fantastic for all of the 5 or 20 seconds it takes to get everything they're worth out of them, and worthless after that. You can't fill out a story or movie or song with them, and it just looks desperate, dumb, or cynical to try. Doesn't happen here. Music, lyrics, everything's tight and does the job bang on the money. Enough so that I've sometimes listened to Incredibad two or three times in a row and caught myself humming it absentmindedly here and there.I think a big part of the appeal is that these guys have a great ear for the absurdity of pop culture and people's ideas about media stars, themselves, and everybody else. Not only do they get the sweetly prim Natalie Portman to hilariously defile her good-girl image in "Natalie's Rap," but they up-end unctuous gooey love pop the same way with Justin Timberlake in the absurdly lovey-dovey "Dick in a Box" and stab with unerring aim at the flatheaded too-cool sax riffs that have come to infect jazz, blues, and pop in "Sax Man." And it's not just music and film, it's daily life too, as office jerks get skewered in "Like a Boss" and fatheads of multiple sorts in "We Like Sportz" and "Normal Guy." And there are other goodies besides.Check out the videos if you're not sure, but this is an album worth taking a chance on even it doesn't look like your thing.Fair warning, Moms and Dads: Bad words aplenty. You may not want the kids to listen (or may not believe they already listen to much worse), but if you snatch this album from their little hands, prepare to eventually get caught snickering to it yourself.

Some Crucial Omissions Hold This Great Set Back
As a dedicated SNL watcher through the good and the bad, the Lonely Island guys got my attention - and the attention of a lot of other people - with "Lazy Sunday" a Beastie Boys-esque rap video about two guys going to go see The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe on a Sunday morning. Billed as a "Digital Short," the song became an internet sensation, made Samberg and his writing partners people to watch, and put SNL back in the headlines while spawning a number of imitators. In the following years, the "Digital Shorts" have become a staple of the show, and sometimes, its high points. But the ones that work the best are the Lonely Island-produced music videos - "D*** in a Box" featuring Justin Timberlake, "I Ran (So Far)," featuring Adam Levine (with a pretty great cameo from Jake Gyllenhaal). So when word hit that The Lonely Island were releasing a CD, it seemed like a no-brainer.And as an album, it's pretty good. The songs for the most part don't outstay their welcome, and the talent assembled is impressive - Norah Jones, T-Pain, and Natalie Portman (!!) show up on the album's best tracks. The songs recycled from the show are worth an extra listen - without the audience response and the visual, the listener can really sit back and appreciate how musically deft these songs are. Also included is a DVD of some of the videos - a nice companion, and great for the completionist SNL fan.Unfortunately, there are a few omissions from the show that are really unfortunate. "I Ran" - in my opinion, one of the subtler, smarter, and funnier songs TLI has put together - is nowhere to be found, in either song or video form. Likewise, the T-Pain starring "I'm on a Boat" video - which was aired on the show as a promo for the album - is completely absent as well. That's one of the songs that really needs the visuals to work, as the whole concept behind it springs from music videos featuring rap stars on yachts. The song by itself is great, but loses something without its visual representation, and it's a shame that the video didn't make it on.As is, this is a great disc, and well worth the price, especially when you consider the DVD. But those omissions keep the set from being truly incredible.

Incredifunny
This album has to be near the top of the list for satire/comedic albums/artists. All of the songs are hilarious and catchy in their own way. Once you know the lyrics, no matter how weird or crude, it’s hard not to sing along. If you enjoy randomness and some adult humor mixed in, get this album.

Who Said We're Wack?
Hilarious! When I 1st saw the commercial for this cd during "Saturday Night Live" awhile back, I almost "J****d In My Pants"!I love SNL, I've known Andy Samberg was a rising star not long after he started a few years back. I'm not sure if the SNL's Digital Shorts were his and/or his friends idea, but those skits are keeping SNL alive!"Incredibad" has all the very, very funny songs that were 1st featured during episodes of SNL and several new ones.I've been listening to "We Like Sportz", "Boombox", "I'm on a Boat" & "Space Olympics" all week long on the way to work!Natalie Portman's rap, #18 on the cd "Natalie's Rap" is also hilarious!Congrats to Andy, Akiva and Jorma! This cd is awesome, hilarious and has some of the funniest lyrics I've heard in years! May your future hold much happiness, Santana DVX & boiled goose!!"I saw a spanish guy doing the Bart-man"....

Hilarious
I've loved The Lonely Island for years, so bought this for a colleague after she enquired about the use of the word "Jizz" - the song Jizz in my Pants came up in that conversation, and I felt she would appreciate the full album. Not suitable for children, the easily offended or those who don't understand the hilarity of a song about a phallus in a box as a present... but superb for The Rest Of Us

Incredibad
If you know about Incredibad then you know that its an AWESOME album - well done Lonely Island. Not for Children of a young age by any means and most females who have listened to this find it quite crude (this is not a derogatory point, just an observation for me and the individuals / Friends I have introduced to The Lonely Island)A great Album - recommended to those in the Know!

Good album with some very very funny tunes on it.Other than the released and well known tunes though the other tunes were a bit on the flat side. Still worth buying just for Jizz in my pants
