Great product, used these to splice several broken wires in a chick brooder. There is a large variety of pieces. Easy to use and is working well at this time. The heat shrink and sealing work well. Great value for the money. Looks great.

I think the reviews complaining about these connectors are not using them correctly. They worked perfect for me. They have a strong hold better than crimping, an airtight seal, and if you use the proper size for the wire you're working with they shrink to a glove tight snug. I've had zero problems with connectivity on any of my projects. These are not regular heat shrink tubes. You can't use a lighter or a torch. A lighter won't melt the solder, and a torch will melt the tubing and your wire before it melts the solder. I used a heat gun I got off of Amazon for $20. It has two heat settings, and a reflector on it so the entire tube was heatedly evenly in seconds. Spend just a few extra seconds around the solder ring. Don't immediately try to pull on the connection. Of course it's going to come apart while it's still curing. These are made to withstand shaking and movement, not heavy weight pulling. No one is going to come and tug on your wires to pull them apart. All that aside, I absolutely recommend these shrink tubes to anyone who's doing at least minor automotive electrical wiring. I installed a dash cam, aftermarket radio, and rear view cam into my car using these and they have held up perfect. Short of it is, don't blame the product for human error.

⚡️If you do any automotive, marine, or general electrical work, stop messing around with crimp connectors and buy this multipack of Heat Shrink Wire Connectors! This 110,piece set is an absolute must-have to keep on hand and delivers a connection that is superior in every way in my experience! ⭐️The Solder Seal Difference: 📍The Rock-Solid Connection: The low-temperature solder ring in the middle melts quickly and reliably, creating a perfect, electrically sound bond that is stronger than any traditional crimp that I've done or attemptd in the past. There's no guesswork or worrying about pull-outs! 📍Weatherproof and Durable: As the heat shrink tubing shrinks, the internal adhesive melts, creating a completely watertight and corrosion-resistant seal. I've used these in underground fencing, electric fences, ATV's, Trailers, and on automotive wiring where exposure to moisture is guaranteed, and the connections have held up flawlessly! 📍Incredibly Easy to Use: All you need to do is simply strip your wires, insert them into the connector, and apply heat. The color-coding makes identifying the correct gauge simple, and the whole process has taken me less than 30 seconds per connection. They have always shrinked tight and look incredibly professional when finished! ⚡️This multipack provides a great assortment of sizes for virtually any job. The quality has always turned out top-notch, and the reliability and durability that they have added to my projects are well worth the price. This is the only way I connect wires now. Highly, highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

These seem pretty good, but I found that soldering first creates a much stronger mechanical connection. I used a soldering iron to tin the ends, then soldered them together. No twisting the wires. Then I slid and centered the connector over the joint and used a heat gun to shrink each end of the connector. I found that shrinking the connector ends first, then applying heat to the middle worked best. By soldering first, the joint was mechanically very strong. Without soldering, the joint could be pulled apart with very little effort. The connector comes with some type of low melting point metal that will create good electrical contact, but it does not seem to mechanically bond to copper conductors. As far as whether these are waterproof, we'll see. They seem like they will work well in wet applications, but until I see how they perform over time, I'll reserve judgement. I will be using these to connect sprinkler system control valves to the control wires. One of my control valve boxes almost always has standing water, so it will be a good test.

There's only one problem and amazingly most of them just gloss over it.... The melting temp of the solder in this product is WAY too high, and and the shrink wrap *will* fail catastrophically long before the solder can accomplish its task.. This is a design problem not a user problem, and it's potentially dangerous unless you completely verify the connection and then insulate the piece securely prior to energizing the circuit- Its very possible, and actually probable, you'll have exposed wiring if you don't take these precautions. The fact is this is a terrible product, and if you care about the quality of your work you should run away from this stuff as fast as you can. It's easier and actually faster to do a manual butt-splice than it is to mess around with this garbage.
